Abstract
Bu araştırmanın konusu Müzik Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı Lisans programının müzik alan derslerinden biri olan Güncel ve Popüler Müzikler dersine ilişkindir. Öğrencilerin bu derse ilişkin görüşlerinin tespit edilmesinin amaçlandığı bu çalışma, izlenen yöntem ve elde edilen verilerin niteliği bakımından durum saptamaya yönelik betimsel bir çalışmadır. Araştırma için konuyla ilgili literatür çalışması yapılmış, ayrıca anket yöntemi ile öğrencilerin Güncel ve Popüler Müzikler dersinin içerik, işleniş ve kazanımlarına ilişkin görüşleri tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Müzik Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı Lisans III. ve IV. Sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin ilgili dersin Lisans III. sınıf düzeyinde okutulmasını uygun buldukları, ancak haftada iki saat olarak işlenen bir ders olmasını yetersiz buldukları anlaşılmıştır. Abstract
The subject of this study is to find out views of the students of Music Teaching Department regarding Current and Popular Music Culture Course which is one of the courses of the music area. It is a descriptive study due to its purpose as well as method and type of data used. For data collection, literature review was done and then questionnaires were given to students in order to obtain their opinions regarding the course. The research group of the study is constituted of the third and the fourth class students of Ondokuz Mayıs University, Music Teaching Department. The research results indicated that the students think it is appropriate to take that course during that semester but not by two hours in a week. Furthermore, it is understood that audiovisual materials used in the lessons are more memorable than the theoric ones. Outcomes of this research will be beneficial to improve the course contents.
