Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı Cumhuriyet dönemi ilkokul programlarından yola çıkarak Türkiye’de verilen din eğitiminin tarihçesi hakkında bilgi vermektir. Bu amaçla Cumhuriyet dönemi programları (sırasıyla 1924 İlk Mektepler Müfredat Programı, 1926 İlk Mektepler ve Köy Mektepleri Programları, 1936 İlkokul Programı, 1948 İlkokul Programı, 1962 İlkokul Program Taslağı ve 1968 İlkokul Programı) incelenmiş ve bu konu üzerine alan yazın taraması yapılmıştır. İlkokul seviyesinde din eğitiminin hangi ders başlıkları altında, kaçar saat ve zorunlu veya seçmeli olarak verildiği kronolojik olarak verilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu sayede programların hazırlandığı her bir dönemin özelliklerinin din eğitimi verilen dersler üzerindeki etkilerini görmek mümkün olacaktır.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to provide information about the history of religious education in Turkey, starting from the primary school programs in the Republican period. With this purpose in mind, the Republican period programs (respectively 1924 First Schools Curriculum, 1926 First Schools and Rural Schools Curriculum, 1936 Primary School Program, 1948 Primary School Program, 1962 Primary School Program Draft and 1968 Primary School Program) have been examined and a literature review has been conducted on this topic. Information about the religious education in the primary school level is tried to be provided chronologically with the titles used for the courses, the numbers of must and elective courses. By this means, it is going to be possible to see the effect of the characteristics of each period when the programs were prepared on the courses in which religious education is given.
