Abstract
Kıbrıs sorunu, Kıbrıs Rumlarının, 1963 yılında, Kıbrıs Cumhuriyeti'nin yıkılmasına neden olan girişimleri sonucunda ortaya çıkmıştır. 15 Kasım 1983'te Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti'nin (KKTC) kurulmasıyla Kıbrıs Türkleri, kendilerine uygun bir çözüm bulmuştur. Ancak bu süreçte Kıbrıs Rumları, Kıbrıs'ın tamamının temsilcisi oldukları iddiasını tüm dünyaya kabul ettirerek; KKTC'nin, Türkiye haricinde başka devletlerce tanınmasını engellemiştir. Bazı kesimlerce, Kıbrıs sorununun çözülmemesinden sorumlu tutulan KKTC Kurucu Cumhurbaşkanı Rauf Denktaş, 2005 yılında cumhurbaşkanlığı seçimlerinde aday olmayarak aktif siyaseti bırakmıştır. Ancak sorun yine de çözümsüz kalmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Denktaş sonrası Kıbrıs sorununun nasıl bir seyir izlediği incelenmiştir.

Abstract
Cyprus problem emerges in 1963, with the Cyprus Greeks efforts which causes to the collapse of The Cyprus Republic. With establish of the Turkish Republic Of Northern Cyprus, (TRNC) Cyprus Turks achieve a suitable solution for themselves. But the argument of Cyprus Greeks that they represent the whole island is accepted in this process; with causing the TRNC’s not to recognize from all the states in the world, except Turkey. Mr. Denktash, who is a founder leader of the Turkish Republic Of Northern Cyprus, on 14 May 2004, announced he would not be standing for a fifth term as President of the TRNC in the next election. But the cyprus issue wasn’t solved. In this article, the author examines, the cyprus issue how went on after Rauf Denktash’s leadership.
