Abstract
Latin Amerika’da ticari açıdan zengin, stratejik konumu itibari ile de önemli bir ada olan Küba, Avrupa’nın özellikle de İspanya’nın “1898 İspanya-Amerika Savaşı”na kadar ticaret tekelini oluşturduğu bir sömürgesi durumundaydı. Küba’daki siyasi ve iktisadi belirsizliklerin yoğun olduğu bu dönemde çatışmalar, iç karışıklıkları, iç karışıklıklar ise ekonomik ve siyasi açıdan gittikçe derinleşen bir krize sürüklenmişti. Bu yönlü hareketleri birbiri ardına bir dizi ayaklanmalar izlemişti.
