Abstract
Osmanlı Türkiye’sinde batılı anlamda 1870’lerde çıkan romanın Kıbrıs Türk Edebiyatı’na yansıması yirmi yıl sonra 1890’larda olur. Müzaferettin Galip, Kaytaz-zâde Mehmet Nâzım Efendi, Kıbrıs’ta ilk romancılar olarak dikkati çeker. Yeni harflerle basılan ilk romanları ise realist ve üretken Kıbrıs Türk yazarı Hikmet Afif Mapolar kaleme almıştır. Bu makalede şu ana kadar basılı kitap olarak ele geçmeyen Hikmet Afif Mapolar’ın Diken Çiçeği (1938) ve Son Damla (1938) adlı romanları ilk kez edebiyat dünyasına ve araştırmacılara tanıtılacaktır.

Abstract
The reflection of the Ottoman Turkish in the 1870s in the western sense of the novel would be in Turkey Cypriot literature in 1890 after twenty years. Müzaferettin Galip, Kaytaz-zâde Mehmet Nâzım Efendi are noteworthy as the first novelists in Cyprus. First novels that are published in the new letters has written by the realistic and productive Turkish Cypriot writer Hikmet Afif Mapolar. In this article Hikmet Afif Mapolar’s novels named Diken Çiçeği (1938) and Son Damla (1938) that are not printed book so far will be introduced for the first time to the world of literature and researchers.
