Abstract
Medya şiddet dâhil her türlü içeriği kendi ideolojik yapısına göre ve amaçları doğrultusunda şekillendirip, keyif veren eğlencelik malzemeye dönüştürerek kitlelere iletmektedir. Şiddeti uygulayanların yanında, bunu seyreden izler kitlenin de zamanla şiddetten zevk aldığı, şiddetin doğal ve keyifli olduğuna inandığı gözlemlenmektedir. Bu araştırmada, Libya’nın 42 yıllık resmi lideri Kaddafi’nin, medyada yer alan linç edilme görüntülerinin ve sürecin izler kitle tarafından nasıl algılandığı incelenmiştir. Kaddafi’nin linç görüntülerinin metin alt okuması yapıldığında diğer diktatörlere bir gözdağı mı, herkesin gerekli dersi almasını gerektiren ibretlik bir durum mu ya da medya aracılığıyla gerçekleştirilen modern engizisyonun bir türevi mi olduğu tartışılmıştır. Araştırmada medyada yer bulan Kaddafi’nin linç görüntülerinin, anlam yaratma sirkülasyonu sürecine odaklanılmış ve izleyicilerin algılamalarına etkisi ölçülmüştür. Abstract
Media shape a huge variety of contents including violence according to its ideological structure and objectives and transmit them to the masses by transforming them into the entertainment materials. In addition to actors of violence, the audience who watch violence seems to enjoy the violence in the long run and they also believe that violence is natural and pleasant. In this research, how the images of lynching of Qaddafi, who was the official leader of the country for 42 years, presented by the media and how this process is perceived by the audience. Moreover the research explores whether this is a threat against other dictators according to the textual sub-reading or this serve as a lesson to each people and other leaders or a derivative of a modern type of inquisition through media. It has been focused to the process of the circulation to create meaning through the lynching images of Qaddafi presented in the media and effects on the perceptions of the viewers have been measured.
