Abstract
Bu araştırma, özel müzik kurslarına devam eden çocukların velilerinin beklentilerini ve bu beklentilerin kurumlar tarafından karşılanma düzeylerini belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, çocukları özel müzik eğitimi alan veliler oluşturmaktadır. Betimsel tarama modelindeki bu çalışmada veriler, çocukların demografik özellikleri, çalgı çalışma alışkanlıkları ve kursun niteliğine yönelik 16 soruluk bir anket aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre veli beklentilerinin genel olarak yüksek düzeyde karşılandığı görülmüştür. Alt boyutlar incelendiğinde; velilerin en yüksek memnuniyet duyduğu alanların eğitmenin öğrenci ile iletişimi ve eğitmenin müzikal yeterliliği olduğu; buna karşın kursun fiziki şartlarının beklentilerin en düşük oranda karşılandığı alan olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca istatistiksel analizler sonucunda, veli beklentilerinin karşılanma düzeyinin çalgı eğitimine başlama nedenine göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği ancak öğrencinin cinsiyeti, yaşı ve velinin eğitim durumu gibi değişkenlere göre anlamlı bir farklılık sergilemediği saptanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar, özel müzik eğitiminde pedagojik ve müzikal niteliğin fiziksel imkânlardan daha öncelikli bir memnuniyet kaynağı olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır.

Abstract
This study aims to determine the expectations of parents whose children attend private music courses and to examine the extent to which these expectations are met by educational institutions. The sample of the study consisted of parents whose children receive private music education. In this descriptive survey study, data were collected through a 16-item questionnaire that included questions regarding children's demographic characteristics, instrument practice habits, and perceptions of the quality of the music course. The findings revealed that parental expectations were generally met at a high level. Examination of the sub-dimensions indicated that parents were most satisfied with the instructor–student communication and the musical competence of the instructors, whereas the physical conditions of the courses were identified as the area in which expectations were met at the lowest level. Furthermore, statistical analyses showed that the level of meeting parental expectations differed significantly according to the reason for starting instrument education. However, no significant differences were found based on variables such as the student's gender, age, or the educational level of the parents. The results suggest that pedagogical and musical quality constitute more important sources of parental satisfaction than physical facilities in private music education settings.
