Abstract

Abstract

The development of digital communication technologies has brought about the rise of digital tribes, where stakeholders cluster around shared emotions and practices within the understanding of public relations. From a public relations perspective, this study aims to examine the role that participatory culture and ethical communication dynamics in digital tribes play in the construction of corporate and brand identity. Among qualitative research methods, the netnography approach was adopted in the study, and the Instagram ecosystem of Flov Studio, which is an example of an experience-oriented digital tribe focused on holistic wellness, was scrutinized. The findings obtained demonstrate that community members construct a bottom-up communication model shaped around a collective sense of "us". In the study, structural connections were revealed between the Aristotelian rhetorical triad (ethos, pathos, logos) and the motivation for co-creation, which is the primary driving force of participatory culture. As a result of the research, it has been revealed that User-Generated Content (UGC), especially in experience-oriented niche sectors, breaks the monopoly of macro-influencers and establishes itself on a sustainable foundation of brand/corporate reputation.
