Abstract
Bu çalışma, sporun sanat, grafik tasarım ve özellikle resim sanatıyla ilişkisini, spor etkinliklerine ev sahipliği yapan kentlerin kent kimliği üzerindeki etkileri bağlamında incelemektedir. Kent kimliğinin oluşumunda tarihsel, kültürel ve toplumsal unsurlar belirleyici olurken, spor temalı özgün resimsel anlatımlar kentin estetik belleğine, görsel temsil gücüne ve kültürel kimliğine katkı sunmaktadır. Araştırmada, dünyanın farklı ülkelerinde bulunan spor-kent ilişkili eserler değerlendirilerek sporun kent kimliği üzerindeki etkileri ortaya konulmaktadır. Bu araştırma, sanat ve sporun bireysel gelişimin ötesinde kent kültürü ve kent kimliğinin oluşumunda önemli toplumsal işlevler üstlendiğini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Nitel tarama yöntemiyle elde edilen bulgular, sanat ve spor etkinliklerinin kültürel dönüşüm, toplumsal bütünleşme ve kentsel kimlik tasarımına anlamlı katkılar sağladığını göstermektedir.

Abstract
This study investigates the relationship between sport and the fields of art, graphic design, and particularly painting, within the context of the impact of cities hosting sporting events on urban identity. While historical, cultural, and social factors play a decisive role in shaping urban identity, original sport-themed pictorial expressions contribute to the city’s aesthetic memory, visual representation, and cultural identity. The research evaluates sport–city-related artworks from various countries to reveal the influence of sport on urban identity. It aims to demonstrate that art and sport, beyond their contributions to individual development, serve significant social functions in the formation of urban culture and identity. Findings obtained through a qualitative survey method indicate that artistic and sporting activities make meaningful contributions to cultural transformation, social integration, and the design of urban identity.
