Abstract
Bu çalışmanın ana amacı Türkiye’de klasik gitarın tarihsel gelişim aşamalarını ortaya koymaktır. Bu doğrultuda Cumhuriyetin ilk yıllarından günümüze kadarki süreçte klasik gitarın; hangi süreçlerden geçtiği, ne şekilde evrildiği ve güncel durumunun nasıl olduğu irdelenmiştir. Bilindiği üzere tüm dünyada yaygın olarak kullanılan klasik gitar Türkiye’de müzik hayatına çoksesli Batı müziği kültürünün bir parçası olarak girmiştir. Bu çalışmanın, Türkiye’de klasik gitarın tarihsel gelişim aşamalarını bütüncül bir yaklaşımla ortaya koyması bakımından önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir. Çalışmanın, ülkemizde klasik gitarın; başlangıçtan günümüze kadarki evrimini, kurumsallaşma sürecini ve güncel durumunu kapsamlı, kronolojik ve sistematik bir çerçevede ele alması bakımından özgün değer taşıdığı değerlendirilmektedir. Bununla birlikte ülkemizdeki klasik gitar tarihçesini inceleyen çalışmaların sınırlı olması, bu araştırmayı literatürde önemli bir ihtiyacı karşılayan niteliksel bir katkı konumuna taşımaktadır. Çalışmada tarama modellerinden literatür taraması yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında öncelikle konuya ilişkin literatür detaylı bir şekilde taranmış, ardından elde edilen kaynaklar incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın elde edilen bulgularında Türkiye’de klasik gitarın; Cumhuriyet’in erken dönemlerinde kurumsal ve pedagojik eksiklikler nedeniyle sınırlı kaldığı, ancak gitarın 1960’lardan sonra popüler müzikle, 1970’lerden itibaren ise akademik kurumlarla gelişerek günümüzde örgün ve yaygın eğitimde hem profesyonel hem amatör düzeyde öğretilen, kültürel ve sanatsal yaşamda önemli popüler bir çalgı haline gelen bir enstrüman olduğu görülmüştür. Bu yönüyle çalışmanın; Türkiye’de klasik gitarın tarihsel gelişiminin anlaşılmasına bilimsel bir zemin sunmasının yanı sıra, klasik gitara yönelik literatüre katkıda bulunması beklenmektedir.

Abstract
The main aim of this study is to reveal the historical stages of the development of the classical guitar in Türkiye. In this context, the study examines the processes through which the classical guitar has passed from the early years of the Republic to the present day, the ways in which it has evolved, and its current state. As is well known, the classical guitar, which is widely used throughout the world, entered musical life in Türkiye as part of the polyphonic Western music culture. This study is considered important in that it presents the historical development stages of the classical guitar in Türkiye through a holistic approach. The study is regarded as having original value, as it addresses the evolution of the classical guitar in Türkiye from its inception to the present day, its process of institutionalization, and its current condition within a comprehensive, chronological, and systematic framework. Moreover, the limited number of studies examining the history of the classical guitar in Türkiye positions this research as a qualitative contribution that fulfills an important need in the literature. In the study, the literature review method, one of the survey research models, was employed. Within the scope of the research, the relevant literature was first examined in detail, and subsequently, the obtained sources were analyzed. The findings of the study indicate that clasical guitar in Türkiye remained limited during the early Republican period due to institutional and pedagogical deficiencies; however, from the 1960s onward, the guitar developed through popular music, and from the 1970s onward through academic institutions. Today, it has become an instrument that is taught at both professional and amateur levels in formal and non-formal education and has emerged as an important and popular instrument in cultural and artistic life. In this respect, the study is expected not only to provide a scientific basis for understanding the historical development of the classical guitar in Türkiye, but also to contribute to the literature on classical guitar.
