Abstract
Bu çalışma, Kızılcahamam Öneri Jeopark Alanı’nın ekoturizm potansiyelini değerlendirmek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiş ve alanın doğal, kültürel ve turistik özellikleri detaylı bir şekilde çalışılmıştır. Öneri Jeopark Alanı, sahip olduğu jeolojik yapısı ve çeşitliliği, jeoturizm potansiyeli, doğa yürüyüşleri, kültürel turizmi ve bilimsel amaçlı açık bir laboratuvar niteliği taşıyan ve doğal güzellikleriyle, ekoturizm faaliyetleri için önemli bir destinasyon olma potansiyeline sahiptir. Ancak, bölgedeki turizm faaliyetlerinin yetersizliği ve yerel halkın bu faaliyetlere sınırlı katılımı, bu potansiyelin tam anlamıyla hayata geçirilemediğini göstermektedir. Sonuç olarak, Türkiye’nin Başkenti olan Ankara da ulaşım bakımdan oldukça kolay olan bir destinasyon alanın hem yerelde yaşayan insanlara hem de Ankara genelinde bölgeye ekoturizm anlamında katkı sağlayacağı düşünülen Kızılcahamam İlçesi eksik kalan turizm faaliyetleri içerisinde değerlendirilmesi gerekmektedir.

Abstract
This study was conducted to assess the ecotourism potential of the Kızılcahamam Proposed Geopark Area, and its natural, cultural, and touristic features were studied in detail. The Proposed Geopark Area, with its geological structure and diversity, geotourism potential, nature walks, cultural tourism, and natural beauty, serves as an open laboratory for scientific purposes, and has the potential to become a significant ecotourism destination. However, the inadequacy of tourism activities in the region and the limited participation of local residents in these activities indicate that this potential has not been fully realized. Consequently, the Kızılcahamam Provence, a destination with easy access to Ankara, the capital of Turkey, is expected to contribute to ecotourism both for local residents and for the wider Ankara region. It should be considered among the remaining tourism activities.
