Abstract
Platon'un ekonomik görüşleri onun adalet, erdem ve toplumsal düzen anlayışıyla yakından ilişkilidir. Cumhuriyet ve Kanunlar gibi eserlerinde işbölümünün gerekliliğinden zenginlik ve yoksulluğun toplumsal etkilerine kadar geniş bir yelpazedeki ekonomik meseleleri ele aldı. Platon'un ekonomik düşüncesi, bireylerin kendi doğalarına uygun roller üstlenmeleri ve bu roller aracılığıyla toplumun uyum içinde işlemesi gerektiğini öngören ahlaki ve normatif bir çerçeve sunmaktadır. Bu makale Platon'un ekonomik düşüncelerini onun etik ve politik felsefesi bağlamında detaylı bir şekilde incelemektedir.Bu sebeple öncelikli olarak Platon'un fikirlerinin tarihsel arka planı analiz edilmiştir. Daha sonra Platon'un ekonomik düşüncesinin temelini oluşturan işbölümü, asil yalan ve aristokratik komünizm gibi kavramlar ayrıntılı olarak incelenmiştir. Platon'un ekonomik düşüncesi üzerine yapılan çalışmalar genellikle kavramsal analizlere dayanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Plato’nun, ardılı Batılı düşünürlerin fikirleri üzerindeki etkisini karşılaştırmalı olarak analiz etmek için daha ayrıntılı bir incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla metin analizi ve literatür taraması yapılmıştır.

Abstract
Plato's economic views are closely related to his understanding of justice, virtue, and social order. In his works such as the Republic and the Laws, he addressed a wide range of economic issues, from the necessity of division of labor to the social effects of wealth and poverty. Plato's economic thought provides a moral and normative framework, stipulating that individuals should assume roles appropriate to their nature and that through these roles, society should function in harmony. This article examines Plato's economic ideas in detail within the context of his ethical and political philosophy. To achieve this, the historical background of Plato's ideas will first be analyzed. Subsequently, concepts forming the foundation of Plato's economic thought, such as the division of labor, the noble lie, and aristocratic communism, will be examined in detail. Studies on Plato's economic thought are generally based on conceptual analyses. In this study, a more detailed examination has been conducted to comparatively analyze his influence on the thoughts of subsequent Western thinkers. For this purpose, textual analysis and literature review have been carried out.
