Abstract

The aim of the study is to investigate the motivation of music teacher candidates towards Individual Voice Education (BSE) course. For this purpose, in the study, the motivation status of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students studying in the departments of music education at different universities were determined. The differences between the university, class level, gender, and the type of high school graduated. The sample of the study consists of 479 students who study at Ondokuz Mayıs, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir, Trabzon and Necmettin Erbakan University Music Education Departments. This is a descriptive field study. The relevant data were collected using the Ses Individual Voice Training (BSE) Course Motivation Scale developed by Ekici in 2017. According to the findings of the research, it was concluded that the general motivation of the music teacher candidates towards BSE course was partially agree ( = 3,39), that the motivation of the music teacher candidates towards BSE course showed a significant difference in terms of university, class and gender variable, but not in terms of the type of high school graduated variable.
