People have benefited from plants in various fields especially nutrition. People who have gone to the way of making their lives easier by observing the nature, they have observed animals to treat and protect themselves from diseases and have learned the beneficial and harmful aspects of plants through trial and error and used them for therapeutic purposes. One of these plants used for treatment is laurel. Laurel plant is a plant used in the construction of various medicines together with other plants. In this study is introduced the usage patterns of laurus nobilis on Turkish medical manuscripts of XIVth and XVth centuries and use of laurel name will be emphasized. In the study, it was observed that the laurel was used in the construction of various drugs, was adapted to the phonation of the Turkish language the Greek noun of laurel and was used in the majority of the works of the period.},author={Mihrican ÇOLAK},year={2019},journal={The Journal of Academic Social Science}}
