Abstract

The aim of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy of the Cup Bubble / Lax Vox (CB / LV) sound therapy technique to remove or minimize the severity of stuttering of individuals suffering from stuttering problems in childhood. Beginning of stuttering in the pre-school period and continuing for at least 2 years in school 8 boys and 2 girls were given Cup Bubble / Lax Vox (CB / LV) sound therapy for 8 weeks. The age of the children varies from 8 to 3 months to 10 years and 2 months. The average age is 8 years 2 months ± 1 year and 3 months. Full fluency is provided in 5 children before and after the CP Bubble / Lax Vox (CB / LV) sound therapy. A decrease in mild-I in four children and a very mild-II severity in one child was observed. There was a statistically significant difference between total pre and post stutter frequency score, total time point and second hand behaviors scores (p <0.05). Cup Bubble / Lax Vox (CB / LV) sound therapy is an alternative method that can be used safely in stuttering. Stuttering contributes to the acquisition of fluent speech in respiratory, phonation and articulation levels of speaking the most difficult of children.
