Abstract

The subject of this study is to conduct a discussion on anthropology at home. Anthropology at home, which is at the intersection of questioning about the construction of anthropological knowledge, is used to describe the fieldwork in the society in which the anthropologist is a member. In the context of this study, discussion on anthropology at home was started with Doms living in Nusaybin district of Mardin and was established with the experience of fieldwork with Canakkale’s Roma living in Biga district. Within the scope of this study, the experience of fieldwork which is meaningful with return home has been primarily evaluated in the context of examining the basic categories which are constracted in the anthropological literature. From this point of view, the study focused on the researcher status which is located in the intersection of these categories.
