Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the levels of the music teacher candidates in the strategies on the oud course. The research data was collected with “The Personal Information Form” and “The Strategies Scale of the Instrumental Music during Practice and Learning.” “The Personal Information Form” includes 7 survey questions related to variables of the study, prepared by the researcher. The other data collection tool “The Strategies Scale of the Instrumental Music during Practice and Learning” is developed by Aydıner-Uygun and Kılınçer in 2017. As a result of the research, it was determined that the students used the rehearsal strategies at the highest level and the articulation-organization strategies at the lowest level while learning and teaching the repertory of the oud course.
