Abstract

The perception of organizational narcissism which is determined as an explication about limitless organizational power while seeing the organizations are unique and special by the employees is evaluated as productivity decreasing unless it is directed positively. It is believed that organizational narcissism which is seen about employees’ perceptions of leadership, the desire of promoting, basting, admiration and advertising may be influenced by personal characteristics. For this reason, the aim of the research is to determine the relationship between organizational narcissism and personality in health workers. The fact that the number of studies on the relationship between organizational narcissism and personality is very limited does give importance to research. 34 items for organizational narcissism (Hamedoğlu and Potas, 2012), 10 items for personality (Gosling et al., 2003), and 6 items for demographic factors take part in the survey which is made by the 130 private hospital employees. According to the correlation analysis, a positive and significant relationship is found between “responsibility” as a sub-dimension of personality and “exhibition” as a sub-dimension of organizational narcissism (r: 0,245, p: 0,001).
