Abstract
The matter of teachers working in public employment discussed in Turkey for many years. In the Ministry of Education there are different kinds of teacher statues but “contractual teacher” is the subject of this article. In Turkey “contractual teacher” as an application is tried in 2006 but it was abonded. By the Decree-Law No.668 it is decided to be retired again. In this article contractual teacher issue will be analyzed with all its dimensions and the differences in terms of particular rights with the permanent and contractual teachers will be emphasized. The distinction between permanent and contractual personnel in the field of education will be discussed in this article.
