Aim of the study is to determine increasing and hindering factors of student achievement in middle schools. To meet that goal, qualitative research methods was used in the study. Research group of the study consists of 38 teachers who work in middle schools in Çorum. Content analysis was as a technique to determine the factors related to student achievement in the interview sessions. From the data obtained in the study, factors that increase student achievement were determined as school, parents, students and Ministry of National Education. Teacher is the most effective factor for increasing student achievement according to data obtained.
