Presenteeism is defined as an employee's inability to perform well due to health, personal and environmental issues or coming to work even if he or she is ill. Presenteeism causes invisible cost losses and decrease on employee efficiency. Presenteeism which businesses often have to face is considered as an critical issue. Every business aim to profit. This aim is only achieved with help of employees who are physically and mentally healthy. Literature review results indicate that presenteeism is mostly related with health. However presenteeism may occure due to personal or organizational reasons which are not related to health. It is obvious that the factors causing presenteeism is not only related with health issues but also related to organizational and environmental reasons. In this context, examining presenteeism concept with these factors plays a critical role on solving and decreasing the presenteeism problem.
