Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the problems encountered in English learning and teaching according to high school students and determine the level of differentiation of students' perceptions in this regard. In this study, descriptive research method in the survey method was used. Research population consists of a total of 16.339 students. The study sample is comprised of 1201 high school students. The results are as follows: 1- According to high school students, the most important factor adversely affecting the problems encountered in English teaching and learning process is teachers’ anger over mistakes. 2- There is a significant difference between the students’ views of the problems encountered in English learning and teaching depending on grade, number of siblings, school type and mother’s occupation sex , father's occupation, family's monthly income, supplementary course attendance for English, choice of course and duration of course attendance
