Abstract

It is well known that performance evaluation is an important subject of effective human resources management. Measurement of the performance is the key factor leads to success in performance improving. Universities provide support for their academic staff to encourage scientific publishing, in different ways all over the world. In Turkey, recently it has become a major issue with newly developed incentive approach that is called academic incentive system. We proposed an academic performance approach that is not only concern with academic incentive system but also focus on academic career. While creating performance evaluation system, academic activities such as, scientific publication, project, research, bulletin are used as performance criteria. Tiwari, Dharmar, and Rao’s additive model and Chen’s preemptive fuzzy goal programming approaches are used for performance modeling on goals of academic incentive score, reassigning, career progression and prestige and best feasible solutions are obtained for different goals and profiles
