Abstract

The aim of the study is to determine the level of having professional values according to the perceptions of classroom teachers and to examine whether they differ in terms of several variables or not. To this end, answers for the following questions are sought: 1. What is the level of professional values of the primary school teachers ? 2. Do the level of professional values of the primary school teachers differ in terms of the variables such as gender, experience, level of education and level of the class being taught? The population of this study was comprised of primary school teachers teaching at the schools in central district of Bartın. The sample of the study were 162 primary school teachers. Research results show that Elementary School Teachers have the highest level of “being respectful to difference” and the lowest level of “being against violence”.
