Abstract

The survey aims to describe both the functional competencies of supervisory communication and communication tools and employees’ attitudes related to supervisory communication and communication tools. Internal consistency of questionnaire was tested by Cronbach’s Alpha. Supervisory communication scale rendered a reliability 0,85; communication tools scale 0,70 and job attitude scale 0,72. Functional capability of supervisory communication and communication tools was found to be above original average. Moreover we have found correlations at different degrees, but positively meaningful between both supervisory communication and communication tools and employees’ job attitudes. Regression analysis demonstrated that both supervisory communication and communication tools have effects on employees’ job attitudes. For practitioners, it is recommended to pay attention to upward communication and clarity of communication tools.
