Abstract

In this study, the level of critical thinking tendencies of teacher candidates’ was investigated. Data were obtained by applying “Critical Thinking Tendency” scale, reported by Akbıyık (2002). Teacher candidates’ from the Pamukkale University Education faculty, constituting the research’s population. Since it was impossible to attain the whole population, 924 teacher candidates’ were taken to sampling by the proportional cluster sampling method. “SPSS (Statistical Packages for Social Sciences) for Windows” software was used to evaluate the data. The Cronbach’s Alpha reliability co-efficient of the measurement tool is r=0,72. According to the results of this study, it was concluded that teacher candidates’ opinions have been undecided on critical thinking tendency.
