Abstract

In this research, depending on the analysis whether 'activity-based' and 'applied' concepts are sufficient for construction of knowledge in reality, it is aimed to emphasize important tasks of teacher, importance of pre-class preparation of student and teacher and importance of questioning and asking questioning in education system regardless of student-centeredness of the system. For this purpose the study was conducted in the axis of the sub-problems like 'To what extent music lessons are student-centered in practice?' and 'How should questions be asked in a music lesson from a constructivist perspective?' This research was carried out with Survey from Descriptive Researches and General Survey from Documentary Research. In this study; findings that; while constructivism puts student in the center it also charges teacher with more duties and responsibilities to keep student in the center, a collectively singing class may give impression of “activity” “hand-on” or “doing and living” however this impression doesn’t guarantee that performed activities will definitely result in expected achievements, it is important for student to apply analytical approach to overcome problems they face, teacher should be involved in activities with critical, conscious and intentional questions, instead of questions of yes or no it is necessary to ask questions enabling students to express this knowledge and subject they know effectively and even constructivist questions subject is alone attract attention as an important field of study.
