Abstract

Şûhî, 19. yüzyılda Azerbaycan’ın kuzey doğusunda Nuha’da yaşamış ve eser vermiş, bir şairdir. Abstract

Şûhî was a poet lived in Nuha in the Northeast of Azerbaijan and composed his poems in the 19th century Despite the limited knowledge, the things that are told about his life are paralel to the information gathered from his poems. In this research it is aimed to introduce the life of the poet, literary personality over the best copy of his only work in hand from two copies found in Azerbaijan National Library Along with the information given on several biographic works. The information on the life of Şûhi, his period and place of living were based on the knowledge between the lines of his biographic researches and poems of Feridun Köçerli. Nuha with the name Şeki today which is one of the significant culture basins of Azarbaijan field Turkish Literature was also the administrative center of Şekihanoğulları Khanate. In the 19th century, the Shakihan children represented a force that protected social, cultural and literary existence as well as political stability of the region. Şuhî, whose grandfather and his father were also poets, was found in the literary and literary circles that his family encouraged and joined, and he was highly influenced from this atmosphere. During his youth, he went to Russia to study military education and his surroundings played an important role in shaping the philosophy of life.
