Abstract
Jonathan Kreisberg, günümüz caz müzisyenleri arasında teknik becerileri, ritmik hakimiyeti, karmaşık melodik hatlar ile dinamik denge içerisinde kurduğu müzikal cümleler ile önemli bir yer edinmiştir. The South of Everywhere, gitaristin 2007’de yayınladığı aynı adı taşıyan albümünden aksak ritimli (odd time) ve formal olarak katmanlı bir yapıya sahiptir. Bu yüzden caz gitaristleri arasında öğretici bir materyal olma özelliğini taşır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, gitaristin doğaçlama esnasında ritmik, armonik ve melodik bütünü nasıl kurguladığını analiz etmektir. Çalışma, gitaristin The South of Everywhere parçasının solo kesitini kapsamaktadır ve gitar solosu ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Yöntem olarak, müzikal analiz yaklaşımı benimsenmiş olup, parçanın transkripti üzerine melodik yapılar ile birlikte armonik çözümleme yapılmıştır.

Abstract
Jonathan Kreisberg has earned an important place among today's jazz musicians with his technical skills, rhythmic mastery, complex melodic lines and musical phrasing in dynamic balance. The South of Everywhere, from the guitarist's 2007 album of the same name, has an odd time rhythm and a formally layered structure. Therefore, it is an instructive material for jazz guitarists. The aim of this study is to analyze how the guitarist constructs the rhythmic, harmonic and melodic whole during improvisation. The study covers the guitarist's solo section of The South of Everywhere and is limited to the guitar solo. As a method, a musical analysis approach was adopted and a harmonic analysis was made on the transcript of the piece along with melodic structures.
