Abstract
Araştırmada, Stephen Heller’in piyano eğitiminde kullanılan “25 Etudes Melodiques, Op.45” adlı etüt kitabının incelenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Nitel bir çalışma olan bu araştırmada veriler döküman inceleme yoluyla toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler içerik analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. İncelenen metodun içerik analizlerinin yapılabilmesi amacı ile araştırmacılar tarafından “Etüt Kitabı Analiz Formu” oluşturulmuştur. Bu formun oluşturulmasında literatürde yapılan benzer çalışmalar taranmış ve veri toplama araçları incelenmiştir. Yapılan analiz sonucunda elde edilen veriler kategoriler şeklinde verilmiştir. Kitapta yer alan 25 etüt içerdiği ölçü birimi, tonalite, hız terimleri, sağ ve sol el teknik kazanımlar, müzikal ifadeler açısından incelenmiş ve yapılan analizler sonucunda elde edilen veriler yüzdelik dağılımları ile birlikte verilmiştir. Etütler ağırlıklı olarak Fa majör ve Re majör tonlarında yazılmasıyla birlikte dört bemol ve dört diyeze kadar değiştireç alan hem majör hem minör tonaliteleri içerdiği, en sık 3/4’lük ölçü birimi kullanıldığı, en fazla Allegretto hız terimine yer verildiği görülmüştür. Sağ el ve sol el teknikleri incelendiğinde ise en çok kullanılan tekniklerin Legato, Staccato, El pozisyon değişimi, aynı notada farklı parmak kullanımı, çift ses, akor olduğu belirlenmiştir. Müzikal ifadeler açısından incelendiğinde ise toplam 23 farklı müzikal ifade kullanılmıştır. Bu da etütlerin müzikalite açısından zengin ve farklı türlerde müzikal ifadeler taşıdığını göstermektedir. Kitap içerisinde kolay etütlerle başlayıp zorluk seviyesi gittikçe artan etütlerin yer aldığı görülmektedir. Bu anlamda etütlerde kolaydan zora doğru ilerleyen aşamalı bir sıralama tespit edilmiştir. Kitaptaki her etüdün, kazandırmayı amaçladığı teknik ve müzikal davranışlara yönelik alıştırmalar içerdiği görülmüştür. Bu noktada etütlerin, öğrencileri ileride çalışacakları büyük eserlere hazırlaması açısından etkili olacağı düşünülmektedir. Etütler incelendiğinde ise 15 farklı hız terimini barındırdığı görülmektedir. Etütlerde dinamik tempoların tercih edildiği, tonalite açısından incelendiğinde ise belli bir sıra izlemediği, nüans bakımından incelendiğinde ise çeşitli sayılabilecek etütlerin bulunduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Heller’in etütlerinin kazandırmayı hedeflediği teknik çalışmaların yanında müzikal davranışlara da önem verdiği ve öğrencilere müzikal bir kimlik de kazandırmayı amaçladığı tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract
In the study, it was aimed to examine the “25 Etudes Melodiques, Op.45”, which is used in the piano education of Stephen Hellerin. In this research, which is a qualitative study, data were collected through document examination. The collected data was analyzed by content analysis method. In order to make content analysis of the method examined, “Tub Book Analysis Form” was created by the researchers. In creating this form, similar studies in the literature were scanned and data collection tools were examined. The data obtained as a result of the analysis are given in categories. The 25 studies included in the book were examined in terms of measurement units, tonality, speed terms, right and left hand technical achievements, musical expressions, and the data obtained as a result of the analysis were given together with percentages. Studies are mainly written in major tones of Fa major and Re, and contain both major and minor tonalities ranging from four bemoles and up to four diases, most often using a 3/4 ’ unit of measure, it has been seen that the maximum Allegretto speed term is given. When the right hand and left hand techniques are examined, it is determined that the most used techniques are Legato, Staccato, Hand position change, different finger usage on the same note, double voice, chord. When examined in terms of musical expressions, a total of 23 different musical expressions were used. This shows that the studies are rich in musicality and carry different types of musical expressions. It is seen that the book starts with easy studies and the difficulty level is increasing. In this sense, a gradual order that progresses from easy to difficult has been determined in the studies. It has been seen that every study in the book contains exercises for the technical and musical behaviors it aims to acquire. At this point, it is thought that the studies will be effective in preparing the students for the big works they will work in the future. When the studies are examined, it is seen that it contains 15 different speed terms. It was concluded that dynamic tempos are preferred in the studies and that when examined in terms of tonality, it does not follow a certain sequence and when examined in terms of nuance, there are various studies. In addition to the technical studies that Hellerin studies aims to gain, it has been determined that it attaches importance to musical behavior and aims to give students a musical identity.
