Abstract
Bu çalışmada Melisa Kesmez’in Atları Bağlayın Geceyi Burada Geçireceğiz, Bazen Bahar ve Nohut Oda adlı üç öykü kitabında yer alan 39 öykü, nesne-merkezli yakın bir okumayla incelenmiştir. Kitaplardaki eşya ve mekân adları sayılmış bunlardan kabaca on kez ve daha fazla tekrar eden eşya ve mekân adları bir tablo hâlinde çalışmanın sonuna eklenmiştir. Bu sayım neticesinde Kesmez’in, eşyaya, özellikle ev eşyalarına yönelik özel bir ilgisi ve dikkati olduğu ve öykülerin zengin bir nesneler dünyasıyla örüldüğü ve tespit edilmiştir. Öyküler birbirine benzer profildeki (genç ya da orta yaşlı, eğitimli, kentli kadın) bir anlatıcı-kahramanın bakış açısından aktarılmakta ve bu anlatıcı kahraman eşyaya yoğun bir dikkatle odaklanmaktadır. Öykülerde bu eşyaların dekor teşkil etme ya da gerçeklik etkisi yaratmanın ötesinde birçok işlevi olduğu, karakterlerin duygu ve düşünce dünyaları yansıtılırken nesnelerin zengin dünyasından yararlanıldığı görülmüştür. Çalışmada, nesne merkezli bir okumaylaçeşitli kurgusal işlevlerde kulanılan eşyaların ve eşya-insan münasebetinin, işlenen temalara ve anlatının kurgusuna yaptığı katkılar gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır.

Abstract
In this study, 39 stories in Melisa Kesmez's three short story collections, titled Atları Bağlayın Geceyi Burada Geçireceğiz, Bazen Bahar and Nohut Oda, are analyzed through a close object-centered reading. The names of objects and places in the books were counted and the names of objects and places that are repeated roughly ten times or more were added to the end of the study as a table. As a result of this count, it was determined that Kesmez has a special interest and attention to objects, especially household items, and that the stories are woven with a rich world of objects. The stories are told from the point of view of a narrator-heroine with a similar profile (young or middle-aged, educated, urban woman) and this narrator-heroine focuses on objects with intense attention. It has been observed that these objects have many functions in the stories beyond serving as decor or creating the effect of reality, and that the rich world of objects is utilized in reflecting the characters' worlds of emotion and thought. In this study, with an object-centered reading, it is tried to show the contributions of objects used in various fictional functions and the relationship between objects and people to the themes and the fiction of the narrative.
