Abstract
Son zamanlarda hem dünyayı hem de ülkemizi etkileyen en önemli olayların başında doğal afetler gelmektedir. Sonuçlarına bakıldığında, can ve mal kayıplarına en çok neden olan ve meydana gelme sayısı en fazla olan afet türü depremlerdir. Depremler, insanların yaşamını ekonomik, sağlık, psikolojik gibi birçok yönde olumsuz olarak etkilemektedir. Deprem sonrasında yaşanan travmalar; insan hayatının her alanını uzun süre boyunca etkisi altına almaktadır. Bu durumdan en çok etkilenen grupların başında, savunmasız ve ebeveynlerine bağımlı olmaları nedeniyle çocuklar gelmektedir. Depremin yıkıcı etkilerinin sonucu olarak günlük yaşantılarının aksaması ile çocukların sosyal, duygusal ve ruhsal gelişimleri regresyona uğramaktadır. Bu çalışmada da, çocukların sosyal ve duygusal gelişimlerinin deprem afetinden nasıl etkilendiği, etkileri azaltabilmek için nasıl desteklenmesi gerektiği konuları üzerinde durulacaktır.

Abstract
Recently, natural disasters are one of the most important events affecting both the world and our country. Considering the results, the type of disaster that causes the most loss of life and property and has the highest number of occurrences is earthquakes. Earthquakes negatively affect people's lives in many ways such as economic, health and psychological. Traumas experienced after the earthquake; affect every aspect of human life for a long time. Children are among the groups most affected by this situation, as they are vulnerable and dependent on their parents. As a result of the devastating effects of the earthquake, the disruption of daily life of children and their social, emotional and spiritual development suffer from regression. In this review, it will be focused on how the social emotional development of children is affected by the earthquake and how they should be supported in order to reduce the effects.
