Abstract
Aydınlatma, içinde bulunduğu mekânın görsel bakımdan algılanmasında önemlidir. Özellikle psikiyatri gibi özelleşmiş kliniklerde daha da önemli hale gelmektedir. Psikiyatri kliniklerinde hastalar verilen hizmetin gerekliliği, mekâna tanımlanan işlevler ve kullanıcı özellikleri sebebiyle doğal ve yapay ışığa karşı çok daha duyarlıdır. Bu nedenle aydınlatma sistemlerinin kullanıcı odaklı ilerlemeleri ve ihtiyacı karşılayan tasarımlar içermesi gerekmektedir. İyi tasarlanmış bir aydınlatma, hastaların, refakatçilerin, ziyaretçilerin ve sağlık profesyonellerinin fiziksel, ruhsal, sosyal ve psikolojik durumlarını etkiler. Bu makale, bu etkiler hakkında bilinenlerin bir özetini sunmaktadır. Genel olarak çalışmada aydınlatma kavramına yönelik bilgi verilmiş, Helsingor Psikiyatri Hastanesi örneği üzerinden mekânın aydınlatması ve hastalar üzerine aydınlatmanın etkisi değerlendirilmiş ve öneriler getirilmiştir.

Abstract
The subject of lighting is important in the visual perception of the space. It becomes even more important in specialized clinics such as psychiatry. In psychiatry clinics, patients are much more sensitive to natural and artificial light due to the necessity of the service provided, the functions defined for the space and the user characteristics. For this reason, lighting systems should include user-oriented advances and designs that meet the needs. Well-designed lighting affects the physical, mental, social and psychological conditions of patients, attendants, visitors and healthcare professionals. This article provides a summary of what is known about these effects. In general, information about the concept of lighting was given in the study, the lighting of the place and the effect of lighting on the patients were evaluated through the example of Helsingor Psychiatric Hospital and suggestions were made.
