Abstract
İnsan varoluşu kadar eski olan sanat her dönemde bu varoluşun toplumsal koşullarından beslenmiş, etkilenmiş ve toplumsalı etkilemiştir. İnsanlık tarihi içinde hemen her dönemin toplumsal koşullarına bağlı olarak ortaya çıkan sanatsal üsluplar ve sanatçıların bu dönemlere özgü nesneleştirecekleri konuları vardır. Modernite ise tüm tarih içinde toplumsal değişimin en hızlı olduğu dönem olarak sanatsal değişimin de aynı şekilde belirdiği bir süreci gösterir. Bu sürecin yaşandığı hatta post-modernite tartışmalarının sürdüğü 1990’lı yıllarda hem toplumsal kurumları hem de sanatı derinden etkileyecek bir teknolojik gelişme olan internet küresel bağlamda özneleri birbirlerine bağlamaya başlar. İnternet sanatı veya net.art olarak adlandırılan hareket bu süreçte var olmaya başlar. Bu hareket tarihsel ve sanatsal koşullar çerçevesinde bu çalışmada toplumsal değişim kavramı etrafında incelenmektedir. İncelemede literatür taraması yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı sanat ve toplum arasındaki ilişkinin temel alınarak toplumsal ve sanatsal değişimin yakın tarihteki izlerini özel bir örnekle ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaç ekseninde çalışmada toplumsal değişimin sanatsal dönüşüm ve ifade biçimlerini nasıl etkilediği net.art örneği ile incelenmiştir.

Abstract
Art which is as old as the existence of human beings has lived on the social conditions of this existence throughout the history, has been influenced from them and affected the society. There are artistic styles in the history of human beings which emerge depending on the social conditions of every period and the artists have specific issues of those periods that they can objectify those issues. Modernity displays a process in which artistic change emerges similarly and the social change is encountered at its highest speed throughout all the history. During 1990’s in which this process is experienced, and the term of post-modernity is discussed, internet which is a technological development and influenced both social institutions and art deeply started to connect the subjects to each other in the global context. This movement which is called the art of Internet or Net.art starts to emerge during this process. In this study, this movement is analyzed in terms of the concept of social change and within the framework of historical and artistic conditions. The literature review method was employed in the research. The objective of this study is to reveal the tracts of social and artistic change in the recent history grounding the relationships between art and society through employing a special example. In accordance with this purpose, the way which social change influences artistic transformation and the forms of expression was analyzed through the example of Net.art.
