ORTAOKUL ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN ÖĞRENCİLERİN SAHİP OLDUĞU DEĞERLERE VE BU DEĞERLERİN GELİŞİMİNE YÖNELİK GÖRÜŞLERİ

Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı ortaokul öğretmenlerinin öğrencilerin sahip olduğu değerlere ve bu değerlerin gelişimine yönelik görüşlerini tespit etmektir. Araştırma Giresun ilindeki bir ortaokulda çalışan 10 branş öğretmeni ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri öğretmenlerle yapılan mülakatlar sonucunda elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın doğası gereği yöntem olarak özel durum çalışması kullanılmış ve elde edilen veriler nitel veri analizi çerçevesinde analiz süreçlerine tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar öğretmenlere göre ortaokul öğrencilerinin değerlere yönelik tutumlarının yeterli düzeyde olmadığı; aile, sosyal çevre ve medyanın değerler eğitimini olumsuz etkilediği yönündedir. Değerler eğitimi ile ilgili uygulamaların daha çok örtük kapsamda olduğu; değer eğitiminde farklı yöntem ve yaklaşımların kullanılamadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.Öğrencilerin değerleri yaşantı yoluyla edinmelerini sağlayacak nitelikte proje çalışmalarına okullarda daha sık yer verilmesi, planlanmış ders

Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate middle-school teachers’ views about values of their students acquire and development processes of those values. The study was carried out with 10 subject specialist teachers who work in a middle-school in Giresun city in Turkey. The data was collected through carrying out face to face interviews with participant teachers. Due to nature of research, case study method was utilized and obtained qualitative data was analyzed within the qualitative data analysis framework. Results of the study shows that according to teachers’ views students do not acquire values at sufficient and desired level and families, social environment and media have negative influences on values education of students. According to findings, participant teachers state that values education in schools is carried out covertly and different educational models and approaches are not utilized as desired.
