Abstract
Bu çalışma, COVID-19 salgınının Türkiye’de imalat sektörü üzerindeki etkilerini analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Salgının ortaya çıkışı ve küresel etkilerinin yanı sıra, Türkiye’deki ekonomik yansımaları, iş gücü piyasasına etkileri ve yönetim stratejileri teorik olarak ele alınmıştır. Araştırmada, özellikle imalat sektörüne odaklanılarak, bu alandaki firmaların finansal durumları Merkez Bankası ve Borsa İstanbul verileri kullanılarak oran analizi yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiştir. 2018-2023 yılları arasındaki bilanço ve gelir tabloları incelenerek sektörün salgın öncesi, salgın esnası ve sonrası performansı karşılaştırılmıştır. Ayrıca, sanayi, enerji, madencilik, sağlık ve eğitim gibi sektörlerdeki ekonomik değişimler de gözden geçirilmiştir. Çalışmanın genel amacı, COVID-19’un imalat sektörü üzerindeki etkilerini rakamsal veriler ışığında ortaya koymak ve sektörün gelecekte karşılaşabileceği olası ekonomik senaryolar hakkında fikir sunmaktır. Salgının ortaya çıkışıyla birlikte küresel ve ulusal ölçekte yaşanan ekonomik dalgalanmalar, iş gücü piyasasındaki değişimler ve kriz yönetim stratejileri kapsamlı şekilde ele alınmıştır. Türkiye ekonomisinde önemli bir paya sahip olan imalat sektörüne odaklanılan araştırmada, sektörün mali yapısında yaşanan değişimler 2018-2023 yılları arasındaki bilanço ve gelir tabloları üzerinden analiz edilmiştir. Bu süreçte Merkez Bankası ve Borsa İstanbul verileri ışığında oran analizleri yapılmış, hem sektör geneli hem de BİST’te işlem gören firmaların bilanço ve gelir tabloları incelenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda salgının sektördeki kârlılık, borçluluk, likidite gibi temel finansal göstergeler üzerindeki etkileri değerlendirilmiştir.

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Turkish manufacturing sector. In addition to the emergence of the epidemic and its global effects, its economic repercussions in Turkey, its effects on the labor market and management strategies have been discussed theoretically. In the research, focusing especially on the manufacturing sector, the financial situations of companies in this field were evaluated by using the data of the Central Bank and Borsa Istanbul by the method of ratio analysis. the balance sheet and income statements between the years 2018-2023 were examined and the performance of the sector before and after the epidemic was compared. In addition, economic changes in sectors such as industry, energy, mining, health and education were also reviewed. The general purpose of the study is to reveal the effects of COVID-19 on the manufacturing sector in the light of numerical data and to provide an idea about possible economic scenarios that the sector may face in the future. With the emergence of the epidemic, economic fluctuations experienced on a global and national scale, changes in the labor market and crisis management strategies have been comprehensively discussed. Focusing on the manufacturing sector, which has an important share in the Turkish economy, the changes in the financial structure of the sector have been analyzed on the balance sheet and income statements between 2018-2023. In this process, rate analyses were made in the light of the Central Bank and Borsa Istanbul data, and the balance sheets and income statements of the companies traded both in the sector as a whole and on the BIST were examined. In accordance with the obtained data, the effects of the epidemic on the main financial indicators such as profitability, indebtedness and liquidity in the sector were evaluated.
