Abstract
İkileme, dünya dillerinde yaygın olarak kullanılan bir anlatım biçimidir. Bu sebeple de bu alanda pek çok çalışma yapılmıştır. Ancak özellikle Türkçe de bu tür yapıların tanımı ve terimi konusunda çatışmalar ve çelişkiler söz konusudur. Bazı araştırmacıların ikileme kabul ettiği bazılarınca kabul edilmemektedir. Diğer yandan da ikilemenin evrensel tanımı, Türkçede ikileme olarak kabul edilen yapıları kapsamamaktadır. Bu çalışma ikileme konusundaki bu tartışmalara, terim ve tanım konusuna çözüm getirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada ikilemenin evrensel tanımı üzerinde düşünülmüş ve bu tanıma uygun olan örneklerin ikileme olarak ele alınması gerektiği vurgulanmış, tartışmalı bazı örnekler ve terimle ilgili sorunları çözmek amacıyla bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract
Reduplication is a common style of expression in the World languages. Therefore, many researchers have studied in this field. However, especially in Turkish language there are conflict and contradictions in definitions and the terms of such structure. Some researchers are not accepted as a reduplication that to accept by some. On the other hand the universal definition of the reduplication is not covered structures that are considered as reduplication in Turkish. My aim in this study is to solve these debates about terms and definitions of the reduplication. In this study it is considered on a universal definition of the reduplication and emphasized that this definition should be dealt with in accordance with the reduplication of example. I have some recommendations to solve some examples which are contractive and terms.
