Abstract

Amaç: Farklı tedavi süreleri ve yaşam beklentileri olan kanser türleri arasında psikolojik açıdan hasta ve yakınlarının etkilenme seviye ve farklarının olup olmadığını belirlemektir. Hastalar ve yöntemler: Araştırmaya katılan uzun yaşam beklentili meme kanseri olan hasta bireylerin ve hasta yakını olan bireyler ile; kısa yaşam beklentili maling melanom olan bireylerin ve hasta yakını olan bireylerin kendilerinin durumlarını aktardıkları var sayılmıştır. Bu dürüstlüğü eşit sağlayabilmek ve soruları doğru anladıklarından emin olabilmek için ise tüm katılımcılara, testi bire bir olarak araştırmacı tarafından; sorularak yanıtları alınmış ve kaydedilmiştir. Bu araştırmada depresyon tanıları olan hasta ve hasta yakınlarına ilişkin ölçümler“Beck Depresyon Envanteri (Beck-D)’nin ölçebildiği sorularla ve cevaplarla değerlendirilmektedir. Bu araştırmada anksiyetenin tespiti ile ilgili ölçümler “Beck Anksiyete Ölçeği (Beck-A)’nin ölçtüğü niteliklerle sınırlıdır. Bulgular:Hastalığın ortalama yaşam beklentisinin kısalığı, psikolojik yönden hastalarda fark yaratmamaktadır ve kanser başlıca yüksek depresyon ve anksiyete geliştiren bir hastalık olarak tespit edilmiştir. Hasta yakınlarının algısı ise yaşam beklentisi kısa olan hastalıkta yüksek psikolojik sorun beklentimizin aksine olmuş, tedavi süresi ve hastalık süresi yüksek olan hastalıkta, uzun yaşam beklentisi de olsa depresyon ve anksiyete farkı görülmüştür. Sonuç:Her iki kanser türünde de yüksek depresyon ve anksiyete bulgularına ulaşılmıştır. Hasta yakınlarında ise meme kanser hasta yakınları, malign melanom hasta yakınlarına göre daha fazla depresyona girme ve anksiyete geliştirme durumunda oldukları gözlenmişttir.

Abstract

Objective: To determine that there is or not a difference between patient and patient’s relatives from psychologic aspect of cancer when the disease has occured. Patients and Methods: The participants are the breast cancer patients who have long life expectation and their relatives, malign melonom patients who have short life expectation and their relatives. The researcher has asked the questions to the participants one to one to ensure that the participants understand the questions of the test. The answers has been recorded by the researcher. In this study, the assessments of the patients and their relatives who have diagnosis of depression has been made according to “Beck Depression Inventory (Beck-D)” . In this study, the assessment is about the determination of anxiety has limited by the qulifications of “Beck Anxiety Scale (Beck-A)” . Findings: As a psychological aspect, short life expectancy of the disease doesn’t make difference on the patients. Cancer itself has been identified as a disease that enhances anxiety and high depression. On the perspective of patients’ relatives, short life expectancy does not constitute huge depression effect. In the disease with high duration of treatment, depression and anxiety occurs much more, even though there was a long life expectancy. Results: High depression and anxiety findings are reached on both of cancer types. It has been observed that the relatives of the patient who have breast cancer tends to more depression and anxiety effect than the relatives of the patients who have malign melonom.
