Abstract
Namazda huşû meselesi; namazı Allah’ın emrettiği, Peygamber Efendimizin (s.a.s.) kıldığı şekilde, farz, vâcib, sünnet ve âdâbına uyarak, Allah’ın huzurunda bulunuyor olmanın şuuruyla, tam bir saygı, korku, tevâzu, teslimiyet ve ihlâsla kılmaktır. Kısaca huşû; “namaza konsontre olup, namazda namazdan başka bir şey düşünmeme ve başka bir şey ile meşgul olmama” diyebiliriz. Namaz ibâdetinin esas gayesi, Allah’ın rızâsını kazanmaktır. Namaz kılarken kazanılacak sevap, namazın iç ve dış şartlarını yerine getirmenin yanı sıra, daha çok edâsında gösterilen, samimiyet, huşû ve ihlâs nispetindedir. Huşû, Kur'ân-ı Kerîm'de çeşitli âyetlerde geçmekte ve Peygamber Efendimiz’in hadislerinde çokça zikredilmektedir. Kur’ân ve Sünnet’te, namazını huşû ile kılanlar doğrudan övülürken, namazın huşû içinde kılınmasına engel olacağı için birtakım hareketler de yasaklanmış, hatta bu gibi durumlarda nasıl hareket edilmesi gerektiği hususunda tavsiyeler ortaya konulmuştur. Bu makalede, namazın huşû ile nasıl kılınacağı konusunda bazı tavsiyelerde bulunacağız. Bu hususta, namazdan önce ve namaz esnasında yapılması gereken şeylerden, ayrıca huşû içinde namaz kılmaya engel olan davranışlardan bahsedeceğiz.

Abstract
The meaning of the khushu’ (God consciousness, fear of God, tender-heartness) in prayers is; performing prayers in accordance with God’s commandment, perfom it according to the Propeht’s own prayer (following his footsteps in obeying the mendatory, prophetic sunnah and etiquentte dimension of it), as if one feels that s/he is praying in front of God Altmighty, with absolute respect and consciousness, humbleness, surrender him or herself to God completely and with great sincerety. In short, khushu’ means absolute concentration on prayer during the performing of it and does not make oneself busy by thinking other things. Main goal behind performing prayer is to achieve contentment of God. To gain reward during prayer not only depends on fulfilling its internal and external conditions but also the sincerity, humbleness, God-consiciousness etc. The technical term khushu’ occurs in various verses in the Qur’an and frequently in the prophetic traditions.. Believers who perform their prayer with khushu’ are highly praised by the Qur’an and Muslims are warned against some actions and thoughts which prevent believers from performing their prayer with khushu’. Muslim main sources also provide information how one acts when s/he faces some problems during the prayer which result in spoiling the khushu’. This article mainly focuses on the Notion khushu’ during prayers. It deals with how one can prepare himself before, during and after prayer. It will also make some suggestions about the actions which become obstacle in front of khushu’.
