Abstract
En genel ifadeyle kültür, bir toplumun ürettiği maddi ve manevi değerlerin toplamı şeklinde dile getirilmektedir. Çeşitli sahalarda karşılaşılan kültür kavramının geniş yelpazesine bir çerçeve oluşturmak için çalışmada, kent ve kültür ilişkisi değerlendirilecek; kent yaşamı, kent kültürü ve kentlilik bilinci/kentlileşme(me) kavramları üzerinde durulacaktır. Bu sebeple çalışmada esas amaç; döngüsel bir süreç olarak ifade edilen kent-kültür-birey etkileşimini değerlendirmektir. Çalışmanın problemi, nüfusun hızla kent alanlarına kayması sonucu bireylerin bu süreç içerisinde kentleşme hızına ve kültürüne ayak uydurup uyduramama meselesidir. Konunun çalışmaya değer olarak görülmesinin temel nedeni ise; kentlileşme olgusunun kentleşme hızına yetişememesi sonucu sosyal yapının durumdan etkilenmesi ve neticesinde toplumsal yapıyı sosyal, siyasi, ekonomik, psikolojik gibi birçok yönden etkilemesi gerçeğidir.

Abstract
Most general terms, culture is expressed as the sum of the material and spiritual values produced by a society. In order to create a framework for a wide range of culture concepts encountered in various fields, the relationship between city and culture will be evaluated; urban life, urban culture and urban consciousness / urbanization-non urbanization. Therefore, the main purpose of the study; the aim of this course is to evaluate urban-cultural-individual interaction which is expressed as a cyclical process. The problem of the study is the question of whether individuals can adapt to the speed and culture of urbanization in this process as a result of the population's rapid shift to urban areas. The main reason why the subject is considered as worthy of study is; the fact that the social structure is affected from the situation and the social structure affects social, political, economic and psychological aspects as a result of the fact that the phenomenon of urbanization cannot reach the speed of urbanization.
