Abstract
Sosyal gelişmişlik endeksi, bir ülkede yaşayan vatandaşların hayat kalitesini ilgilendiren kararları daha bilgili ve sağlıklı bir şekilde almalarına katkı vermeyi amaçlayan bir gelişmişlik endeksidir. Bu endeks değeri temel insani ihtiyaçlar, refahın temelleri ve fırsatlar alt endekslerinin ortalaması alınarak hesaplanmaktadır. Yapılan bu çalışmada, sosyal gelişmişlik endeksini oluşturan alt değişkenler kullanılarak, 132 ülke sosyal gelişmişlik durumu bakımından sınıflandırılmıştır. Bu sınıflandırma için veri yapısına uygun olarak sağlam istatistiksel yöntemler kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda sosyal gelişmişlik endeksini oluşturan bu değişkenlerin endekse olan katkıları belirlenmiştir. Bu katsayılar kullanılarak, endeks geliştirilebilir. Ayrıca ülkeler endeks üzerindeki etkilerine göre bu değişkenleri göz önüne alarak, sosyal gelişmişlik düzeyini arttırabilir.

Abstract
The social development index is a sophisticated index that aims to help citizens living in a country to make decisions that are relevant to the quality of life to be more informed and healthy. This index value is calculated by taking the average of basic human needs, baselines of wealth and opportunities sub-indices. In this study, 132 countries are classified in terms of social development status using sub-variables that constitute the social development index. For this classification, robust statistical methods are used in accordance with the data structure. As a result of the analysis, the contributions of these variables, which constitute the social development index, to the index have been determined. Using these coefficients, the index can be improved. In addition, countries may increase their level of social development by considering these variables according to the effects on the index.
