Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı Levinson'un yaşam yapısı kuramı açısından "Benim Adım Khan" filminin incelenmesidir. Bu çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi yaklaşımı tercih edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada verilerin analizinde bilgisayar destekli nitel veri analizi programından (NVivo) yararlanılarak içerik analizi yöntemi ile çözümlenmiştir. Yapılan içerik analizi sonuçlarına göre, filmin esas kahramanı olan Rızvan Khan'ın yaşam akışındaki önemli dönüm noktaları; annesinin ölümü, Mandira ile evlenmesi, üvey oğlunun ölümü ve devlet başkanıyla görüşmesi olduğu görülmüştür. Khan'ın yaşam döngüsü, ön yetişkinlik (0-17 yaş) ve ilk yetişkinlik (17-45 yaş) dönemlerinden oluşmaktadır. Khan'ın yaşam yapısının merkezinde ailenin olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Khan’ın yetişkinlik yaşamının ilk evresi olan yaşam yapısına giriş döneminde (22-28 yaş) yapı-kurma görevini yerine getirdiği görülmüştür. Öte yandan, Khan’ın yetişkinlik yaşamının 30 yaş geçişi döneminde (28-33 yaş), yapı-değiştirme görevini gerçekleştirdiği tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, bu çalışmanın Levinson'un yaşam yapısı kuramı ile ilgili kavramları desteklediği ve bu kuramın öğretimine örnek oluşturarak akademisyenlere ve öğrencilere kaynak oluşturacağı düşünülmektedir.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the "My Name Khan" film in terms of Levinson's theory of life structure. In this study, a document review approach was chosen qualitative research methods. In this study, analysis of data was analyzed by content analysis method using computer assisted qualitative data analysis program (NVivo). According to the results of the content analysis were found to be important turning points in life course of Rizvan Khan who is the main actor of the film; death of his mother, marriage with Mandira, death of his stepchild and meeting with the president. Khan's life cycle consists of pre-adulthood (0-17 years) and first adulthood (17-45 years). At the center of Khan's life structure was concluded the result of being a family. It was emerged that the first phase of Khan’s adult life fulfilled a task of structure-building during introduction to life structure (22-28 years) which is the first stage of life. On the other hand, it was identified that Khan’s adult life fulfilled a task of structure-changing in the 30 year old transition period (28-33 years). Consequently, this study supports the theoretical knowledge about the Levinson’s theory of life structure and can be a model in teaching the concepts of this approach; so it is considered that the study will become a resource for academicians and students in the training of psychology.
