GIDA MADDELERİ SANAYİİ SEKTÖRÜNDE FAALİYET GÖSTEREN İŞLETMELERİN FİNANSAL PERFORMANSININ TOPSIS YÖNTEMİ İLE ÖLÇÜLMESİ: BİST ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract
Yaptığımız bu çalışmanın temel amacı, hisse senetleri Borsa İstanbul’da (BİST) işlem gören gıda maddeleri sanayii şirketlerinin 2010-2015 dönemine ait 6 yıllık finansal tablolarından elde edilen veriler kullanılarak yıllar itibariyle karşılaştırmalı olarak finansal performanslarını ölçmektir. BİST’de bu sektörde 27 tane şirket faaliyet göstermektedir. Ancak analiz döneminde verileri süreklilik arz etmeyen 8 işletme analiz kapsamı dışında tutulduğu için geriye kalan 19 işletme analiz kapsamında yer almaktadır. Şirketlerin finansal performanslarını ölçmek için öncelikle birtakım finansal oranlar hesaplanmış, daha sonra bu oranlar çok kriterli karar verme tekniklerinden biri olan TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solutions) yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. TOPSIS yöntemi karar alıcıya tüm kriterleri (performans göstergelerini) dâhil edip tekbir sonuç çıkardığı için daha objektif bir performans değerlendirme yapma imkânı sağlar. Bu nedenle işletmeler hakkında daha isabetli kararlar verebilmek için gerek yöneticiler gerekse araştırmacılar TOPSIS yöntemini birçok sektörün performans analizinde yaygın olarak kullanmaktadır.

Abstract
Nowadays it has become compulsory to make some analyses using the data of statements in order to have reliable predictions for the future and learn the present financial state of managements. While the analyses are being practised, it is important to use the accurate rates of the sector, calculating the correct value of the company, choosing the right analysis method , and figuring up the inrease and decrease of wealth of the partners. The main goal of our study is to measure the comparative financial performance of the public traded foodstuff industry companies in İstanbul stock exchange (Bist) using their 6 years statements data of 2010 - 2015 period.In this sector 27 companies are in service in Bist. However , eight of them are not taken into consideration because of the lack of their data continuity during the analysis and the other 19 companies are under the analysis. Some financial rates have been accounted to measure the financial performance of the companies and then these rates have been analysed by TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solutions) which is one of the multi-criteria decision-making models. Topsis method provides decision maker more objective performance review since it integrates all criteria (performance indicators) and make single inference. So, both directors and investigators commonly use TOPSIS method fort the performance analysis of many sectors in order to make healthy decisions about that companies.
