In this paper I focus on roots of international scale terrorist attacks occurred in particularly the Middle East countries and from time to time in Europe and America and the relationship of these acts with political Islam in the last fifty years. Especially after Gulf War, America's colonialist policies that aim to re-establish the hegemonic domination of Western world as it was reinforced with wars in Iraq and Afghanistan under "New World Order" caused strengthening of fundamentalist movements in Muslim communities that is fostered by militant pietism and claiming to fight against forces threatening the sacred values. In these societies where religious traditions dominate, while opposition to west was radicalized on the one hand it caused radical movements to spread on the other hand. However, the basic justification of this paper is the use of ISIS by Western Societies in order to identify Islam with terrorism and to impose this perception all over the world as a result of orientalist perspective against East and particularly against Islam as a historical attitude.

THE WESTERN CLASSICAL CONCERT ETIQUETTE: A STUDY ON CLAPPING ETIQUETTE

The data gathered through dozens of activity observations focusing on the clapping rule mentioned in the etiquette of Western classical music activities, participatory observation as a chorist member in polyphonic choirs and the data collected through interviews with fifty people about this music have shaped this article. This qualitative study was carried out to understand how the non-compliance with the rule of applause was perceived by the Western classical music scene, the judgments about the audience who did not abide by the rule, the reactions to the untimely applause and the reasons for the applause. Both the field study methods and techniques, as well as the classical concert etiquette collected by literature review, were listed in a certain order. While I think that some of these items should be applied not only in activities but also in social life, I think that the etiquette in some articles such as clapping rule should not be exaggerated.

Anatolia, Mesopotamia and Near East civilizations have a very important place in human history, trade, war etc. The interaction with each other is inevitable. One area where this interaction will be inevitable is art and art. Since art is a human-based activity, it is natural that anything that affects human beings affects art as well. Art has an influence on the lives of the societies with its influence, and it is inevitable to be shaped by belief, technology and culture with its affected feature. The works of the artistic creation which appealed to pleasure and aesthetic appreciation were examined in terms of plastic values (form and composition etc.) and the interaction of these works with their contemporaries were also questioned.

The Karaçomak stream is an important urban image for Kastamonu which passes through Kastamonu city center and divides the city into two sides. The stream, which is dominant in the city, has been used for different purposes in the past but today it offers only the visual use to the citizens. In the vicinity of the stream, there are no recreational areas where people can rest, relax and get away from stress. It is not possible to meet with water, to get in touch, to benefit from the auditory and therapeutic effects of water in today's conditions of use. In this respect, a design proposal has been developed for the use of the stream in terms of recreational efficiency. Afterwards, the sensations, likes and effects of the three images of the streamon past, present and future of the creek were determined with the help of the survey performed on the users and the stream's past and present were compared. As a result, it was revealed that the people of Kastamonu wanted to use the stream not only for the visual purpose but also for recreational activities as well and among three images of the stream, the future proposal was the most liked one.

The ceramic art gained a new momentum in 17th and 18th centuries with the use of ceramic materials as an expression of art in contemporary art. In Europe, the famous artists of the period such as Picasso, Dan Flavin, Georges Braque and Joan Miro have created contemporary ceramic pieces in this context. Within the framework of this understanding, academies have been established in our country since the 1920s, and ceramic pieces started to be produced by artists of the period who had studied abroad. In contemporary ceramic works produced in our country, it is also seen that the forms belong to archaeological periods are treated as direct or indirect images. In this study, examples in which archaeological images take place are investigated in contemporary ceramic wall panel applications, and archaeological patterns used in the design of these ceramic panels are examined. The design process of the contemporary ceramic panel application of the Malatya Chamber of Commerce, which uses archaeological patterns as images, is evaluated based on the ceramic panel applications made in Modernist style which contains archaeological forms.

THE ROLE OF NEWS EDITORS IN THE MEDIA: WHO HAS THE FINAL WORD?

It is explicit that the media is the particular architect of the bridge of communication between the rulers and the ruled. In addition to being a reality in nature of work, it is also a attribution that emphasizes the power of the media. The direct relationship between the public opinion (community) and the media considered among the “discourse elite” acquires a quite different dimension when it comes to news case: At this point, it becomes a process that the editors decide for the news to be arranged in terms of content and visuals, shaped, qualified as message and assumed to formal structure. The role of the news editors, who are defined as “gatekeepers” in the media jargon, in this process is not only to open the communication channels and sometimes to focus on the hourly changing agenda, beyond that, also to motive the mental formation of the audience / reader by means of a series of news. However, a certain question in this process has emerged that who has / have the final word. Are gatekeepers also spokespersons of media owners who are qualified as “patronage”. Then how will they make news in behalf of public opinion? Is there this contradiction in nature the media? Here, all these questions are always debated. This is main reason why the editors are resigned that it is originating from administrative conflict and sometimes are encountered in the media or why editors are dismissed on the grounds of “new structuring”: Who should say the final word?

TRANSITION FROM FILM NOIR TO NEO NOIR IN CINEMA: POINT BLANK

Film Noir is the transfer of economic, cultural and political problems and inconsistencies in the social structure, which emerged in the 1940s. The subject is the depiction of a dark world in which the struggle, intrigue and murder become ordinary among some ambiguous forces. In the films of this genre, the intense dialogue flow, visual narrative language dominated by night shots, dark shadows, sharp lighting contrasts, and oblique camera angles are common. In the films, characters depict the types of people who have their own way, live alone, and often establish limited relationships with women who are the source of their misfortune. The transformation from 'Film Noir' to 'Neo Noir' is a phenomenon that develops, matures and emerges over time. What are the social transformations that led to this phenomenon? What are its characteristics? How did these features reflect Neo Noir on both form and content? As an answer to the aforementioned questions, it is seen that the relationship between the USA in the 1960s and 1970s is directly related to each other within the context of cause and effect relations. The moral structure of the society, the assassination of the President of the USA, J. F. Kennedy, the murder of the African-American leader Martin Luther King, the rise of conservatism, student movements, feminism, sexual revolution, anti-militarism and similar social developments were effective in the rise of Neo Noir films. This study discusses the neo noir period after the film noir period and the changes in the narrative structure of the neo noir. To this end, the movie Point Blank has been examined within the context of the transition from the film noir to the neo noir in cinema. The changes in space, character and iconographic elements are examined in the film analysis.

In this study, the type of bibliotherapy, which is a method used to address the problems of the clients during the psychotherapy interviews, is discussed. There are three stages of bibliotherapy method used in psychotherapy: identification with the character in reading material, experiencing catharsis and gaining insight. In practice, it is important for the clinical psychologist to choose a book in which the characters are close to the real life. Also, book should be appropriate for the reading level of the client and similar to the life experiences of him/her. Clinical psychologist should use bibliotherapy as a method rather than applying it to the whole process of the psychotherapy. In contrast to other review studies in the literature, this study presents a generalized anxiety disorder case example and use of bibliotherapy technique in the case’s psychotherapy process.

In the work it was told the Soviet regime dominated in Azerbaijan between 1920-1991, degeneration of people with the repression of the regime and the destruction of a society by ripping it off from its self with the destruction of fundamental elements such as religion, language and culture constituting the national identity. The director of this cemetery becomes the representative of moral commotion. Special permission is required to read the Quran. The life story of a dog that results in suicide which has a different symbolic function, was handled in the work. The plague epidemic started in Hadrut Town of Azerbaijan was tried to be prevented by the authorities by the isolation of the town. The fire that was inflamed to burn the relatives who were killed in the epidemic of the townspeople who isolated from the outside world symbolically represents the destruction of a nation.
Migration has national and international dimension. In recent years, Turkey needs new policies due to international migration. On the other hand, after the transition to the Presidential System, No. 4 Presidential Decree entered into force. Thus, the organization of the General Directorate of Migration has also changed. Therefore, the role of the President in the determination of immigration policies became evident. In the light of current developments, the article includes legal analysis of immigration policies and decisions of the expulsion of foreigners. In other words, the concept of competent administration is investigated in deportation decisions.
Summary: Introduction: According to OECD definition, all employees who are in the second half of their working life but have not yet reached their retirement age are within the scope of aging labor force. In every country in the industrialization process, the proportion of employees over the age of 50 will increase significantly over the next 25 years. Elderly workers are different from their younger colleagues because of normative changes (physical / biological, psychological / mental and social) that are a natural consequence of aging. Experiences of elderly individuals increase the performance of their work, while their musculoskeletal diseases, vision and hearing loss, cardiac and respiratory diseases, skin, metabolism and immune system problems increase their job performance and their vulnerability to environmental hazards. In addition to the negative health consequences caused by aging after the age of 60, the risk of work-related diseases and accidents is a concern. Policies focus on issues such as encouraging elderly people to stay in the labor market, pension and age, and encouraging self-funded retirement rather than relying on pensions, while inadequate research into the health and safety of seniors is insufficient. Materials and Methods: In the literature review, researches with elderly individuals were examined and compiled. Conclusion: Considering the experiences of elderly people with difficulties in dealing with their health, occupational accidents and risks should be reduced. Occupational health and safety experts have responsibilities in the workplace nurses, workplace physicians and occupational health professionals.

There are a lot of different methods used for obtaining quality-loss and worth functions. In this study, we introduce an approach that is more flexible and have some advantages over classical quadratic quality-loss functions. Pearson Type IX distributions are used for obtaining quality-loss and worth functions. It is possible to have special quality-loss and worth functions for asymmetric nominal the best (NTB), smaller the better (STB) and the larger the better (LTB) type quality characteristics by using suggested approach. Also we calculated expected losses for asymmetrical tolerances and analysed them by using suggested quality-loss and worth functions for different hypothetical process distributions. We introduce a way to determine any Pearson Type I Bell-shaped distributions by using expected value, lower limit, the upper limit and mode values. Besides, we propose a method for determining Type IX J-shaped distributions by using expected value, lower and upper limit informations. After determining the Pearson distributions, we use them to obtain the loss and the corresponding worth function.

From the past to the present, many developments and changes took place in the field of technology and this situation increased the production of weapons. Although not developed until the present day, these weapons were used with the help of different methods to neutralize the enemy in the wars in history due to the chemicals it contains. These methods sometimes intended to give fear, while at the same time wanting to destroy the enemy. These weapons, which have shown their success in any way whatsoever, have left their place to more powerful and mass-destructive nuclear weapons. "Nuclear weapons were first produced by AmericaIt was the first time that the world was acquainted with nuclear weapons.Nuclear weapons, which caused the death of many people to defeat Japan in the war, caused a radical transformation in the international order.
In this study, it was aimed to investigate the personal ethical position of female athletes, who actively do sports. The study was conducted by adopting the relational scanning model, and the data were collected using the survey method. The sample group of the study, which investigated ethical positions of athletes, consisted of female athletes from Football, Volleyball, Basketball and Handball in the 2017/2018 season. As the data collection tool, the first section included matters aimed at personal information while the second section covered the “Ethics Position Questionnaire (EPQ)”. The Ethics Position questionnaire was evaluated in terms of the subscales of idealism and relativism. The analyses of the data obtained from the survey form were conducted by using SPSS 22.0 package software. Frequency and percentage analyses were conducted in the determination of demographic information. Prior to the data analyses, the data were tested for normality distribution by using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test in order to determine the tests to be used, and it was determined that the data did not provide normality distribution. Thus, the Mann-Whitney test, which is one of the non-parametric tests, was used for two-sample group comparisons while the Kruskal Wallis test was used for multiple sample comparisons in the data analyses. The statistical significance level was determined as p<0.05. According to the data obtained as a result of the study, it was determined that statistically significant differences existed between the subscales of EPQ in the two and three-sample comparisons. It was observed in the significant difference that the relativity subscale was higher compared to the idealism subscale. In the relativity subscale, it was observed that the ethics position of the athletes in the volleyball branch was higher compared to those in the football branch (p<0.05). In terms of the education level, sports years and age variables of the female athletes, no significant difference was observed in the EPQ inventory.

In this research, teacher training, educational administration and supervision systems of some countries with Turkey were compared. The investigated countries are Indonesia, Estonia, New Zealand and Greece. These countries were selected according to their PISA results. Within this research, with the results of Programme for International Student Assessment which is shortened as PISA, two of the top countries Estonia and New Zealand; two of the last countries Greece and Indonesia were selected. It is seen that in the countries, except Estonia, teachers have at least bachelor's degree; however in Estonia they have at least master's degree. While school principals in New Zealand and Estonia have the right to select the teachers on their own, there seems to be a central selection in Turkey, Greece and Indonesia. Except Indonesia, the other countries have relatively more centralized management structure. In Indonesia, there is a decentralized structure. While administrators are selected according to the results of a central exam in Turkey, Greece and Indonesia, it is seen that local authorities are active in Estonia and New Zealand. While school principals are responsible for teacher supervision in Turkey, Estonia and Indonesia, in New Zealand school trustee union and in Greece school counselors together with school principals are responsible for it.
