Introduction: “An exaggerated sense of self-importance”, which starts with claiming rights, sense of arrogance and superiority; and which is strengthened with compulsion and lack of empathy, is the first sign of pathology. A high correlation was found between narcissistic personality and the state that is conceptualized by some writers as “inflated sense of self”. Aim: This study is aimed at developing a scale that can measure dimensions and levels of the Exaggerated Sense of Ego and can be used by psychologists, psychological counselors and researchers as a unique measuring tool in Turkish. Methods: 1433 people voluntarily participated in this four-stage study. Dark Triad, Levenson Psychopathy Scale, Narcissistic Personality Inventory and Zuckerman-Kuhlman Personality Test were used to test the coherence of the scale. The data analysis was implemented by the means of Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin coefficient, Barlett Sphericity Test, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis and correlation and regression techniques. Results: At the end of the study four-dimensional structure of the scale was proved; it was confirmed that the four dimensions appear to be the components of the structure that is called exaggerated sense of ego and create the upper-structure altogether. Goodness of fit index of the model was also found to be high. Cronbach Alfa internal consistency coefficient has shown between .76 and .79 for four dimensions, while internal consistency coefficient of the whole scale has shown .90. Correlation and predictive power were also high in compliance validity tests that were implemented with the 4 scales. Conclusion: The developed Scale of Exaggerated Sense of Ego is a measuring tool that can be safely used by psychologists, psychological counselors and researchers.

Co-occurrence includes links created by the associated words only because they are used in the same context. In other words, it is stated that words that tend to be used together in texts that process the same subjects are in a co-occurrence relationship with each other. In this work, it is aimed to examine the values in the two books written by the two great masters of Turkish literature in the context of the co-occurrence words, considering that co-occurrence words have important functions in the transfer of values. Sabahattin Ali's "Three Tales", Yasar Kemal's "Pencils" is a document review of the method of research aimed at describing the synchronic phenomena in children's books. When the options and suboptions are created, the researcher first exploits the domain knowledge and other work done for the same purpose and determines the start codes.

Eyüpsultan, which is visited by many local and foreign people, and which is famous for its natural beauties, recreational areas, rich historical-cultural structures, is a district that is known not only in Turkey but also by all Islamic world. It is seen that Eyüpsultan has protected its importance in every period in history because it is the oldest Turkish-Islamic residential areas outside the city walls of Istanbul, it was established after the conquest of Istanbul, because it hosts the tomb of Ebû Eyyûb el-Ensârî, because it was cared by the dynasty and the people, and because it received investments and had architectural developments, social and cultural institutions. The existence of many Islamic monasteries among the established institutions show that an intense Sufi life was lived in the district. In this respect, the existence of nearly 70 Islamic monasteries was determined belonging to various cults and their branches in the Ottoman Period. However, it is of course not possible to speak of a certain number for these buildings because of the close down of them in 1925 since the day they were first established. Although it is not possible to speak with absolute clarity, even the number mentioned above indicates how influential the Sufi life was in the religious, moral, social and cultural life of Eyüpsultan. In this manuscript, the Sufi culture in Eyüpsultan will be dealt with in a holistic viewpoint in terms of the Islamic monasteries and lodges. In this respect, the manuscript will consist of two sections. In the first section, the Islamic monasteries and lodges that were influential in Eyüpsultan during the Ottoman Period; and in the second section, the role of the Sufi life in the cultural, social and political life of the district will be examined. In the results section, a general evaluation will be made on the topic.

Love is not only about everyday life but also directly related to many different fields including religion, philosophy and literature. Therefore, artists and philosophers from a wide range of belief systems and cultures have worked on it in various forms throughout history. Thus, in classical Turkish poetry, love has been the main subject matter studied with a certain discipline within the scope of its own aesthetic values. Love is a supreme authority, and those who do not rise up to this level cannot understand the truth and the secrets of existence. It is a divine power and gift granted to human beings, enabling them to develop and realize themselves. Today, however, love has been replaced with material things, and the sublimity of love has started to be trivialised and mentioned as if it was an unnecessary feeling. This perspective leads the individuals to become isolated and alienated both to herself/ himself and the society she lives in by rendering almost everything meaningless for them. The number of unhappy societies with depressed individuals has thus begun to increase. Before the end of the world, mankind should awake and save herself/himself, through resurrection, from the material and temporary ties of this world that consists of illusions. Therefore, people need to hold on to meaningful and transformative feelings like love.

Cultural assets as materials that provide information on the experiences of societies and contribute to shaping the future are regarded as values that must be protected with care. The scope of these cultural assets that cause creating a bond between past and future is addressed in the framework of the laws or legal regulations determined by countries. Nevertheless, it must also be noted that while countries made certain definitions based on their own positions, there are legal regulations on defining these assets in the international arena, and countries become a part of these universal approaches apart from their own legislation and conform to the rules. In all these definitions made by international organizations at a universal level, artefacts that belong to plastic arts, and especially oil canvas paintings, are defined as cultural assets. The problems experienced by the oil canvas “Night Watch” of the Dutch Baroque Artist Rembrandt, with the status of a movable cultural asset, from past to present as a cultural asset and misfortunes it has overcome in relation to protection up to present have been addressed in this study conducted.

Economic sociology has an important role to close the division between Economics and Sociology. Economic sociology has a special function like a bridge between two social sciences. Many economists see economic sociology as a sub discipline of economics. Similarly, many sociologists see economic sociology as a sub discipline of sociology. Today many researchers accepted that there should be a bridge between Economics and Sociology. Besides, there should be solidarity and complementarity, not competition and substitution between two social sciences. Because, economic analyses should be supported by sociological perpectives. Even some major Neoclassical economists stated that without sociology, economic events can not be analysed.

Due to the increase in the number of competing firms, construction companies have begun to bring landscape designs to the forefront in order to increase the sales rates of the real estates they construct. In residental projects, landscaping in public areas, roof gardens, even in landscaping on each storey balcony and etc. started to be done. Instead of all landscapings, only the roof gardens are working in the context of the declaration. There are three generally accepted methods of valuing real estate properties (cost, revenue recognition and comparison method). Especially precedent comparison is the most commonly used valuing real estate properties while the contribution of the landscape items to the real estate value relatively low because of the movable properties. In order to this problem, the analysis of the values found in the roof gardens by all of these three methods are presented as the scope of this declaration. Thus, it is aimed to determine numerical relationship between the construction price spent on the roof gardens and the value of the real estate.

The ever-increasing electronic waste with technology are discarded as trash to our environment and our living space due to the legal background and inadequate recycling facilities in Turkey. Electronic wastes have become harmfull for the economy and the environment due to the metals it contains. Countries with high E-waste recycling have some legal limitations in the production of electronic products to find a solution to this problem, and waste recycling has also introduced some legal regulations. there is no comprehensive legal requirement for E-waste that is thrown into the trash or is left in the vicinity in Turkey. In this regard, besides the inadequacy of laws and regulations, the fact that the society is unconscious increases the environmental problem even more. The scope of this study will be interpreted by comparing the regulations in our country with the regulations in other countries, which legal regulations should be added in order to increase the public awareness on the harm caused by E-waste to the environment, human health and economy. Besides these, what projects and researches have been done and what kind of studies and projects have to be done in Turkey are discussed and suggestions are introduced.

Turk modernization is still one of the problems that has come from the last period of the Ottomans until today and has not reached a consensus yet. This problem which came manifestation from the Ottomans, has been expected to be solved as its religion dimension so far. The question of where the religion will be placed has still been seemed for a solution in the process of modernization up to the present time. There are two reasons of this unsolved problem. First one, the endeavour of reaching modernity level which western has already reached and the second one is how to locate the place of religion in modernity for centuries. The Ottoman-Turk modernization, in fact, is a kind of social change process. The attitude and approaches of Turkish intellectuals to religion have shown differences. The starting point of these differences has come out from two different ideas during western style modernization. While first group intellectuals saw religion in the centre of social life, the other group ignored religion utterly. Definitely, whether the question of the consensus of Islam religion with modernity is possible or not has played an important role about their attitudes towards religion. In this study, it has been dealt with the two important Turkish intellectuals Niyazi Berkes, who has been seen as Kemalist, and Şerif Mardin, who has been adored by conservative part in Turkey. Their attitudes towards the consensus of Islam and modernity have been investigated in terms of secularism notion.

The continuous increase in competition since the second half of the twentieth century has made it more challenging for brands to maintain their positions in the industries in which they operate. Maintaining a position in a competitive environment and ensuring sustainability of operations necessitated the development of different marketing approaches. Integrated marketing is a concept that has emerged around these developments (Çalık, Altunışık and Sütütemiz, 2013: 139). Integrated marketing approach is a marketing method that positions the customer at its core. Efforts toward ensuring loyalty through activating the customers’ buying impulses and making the customers a part of the business form the foundations of integrated marketing (Garda, 2016: 246). Therefore, how communication is used for integrated marketing becomes essential. The defining role of communications in explaining the differences between other marketing methods and integrated marketing communications will be one of the focus points in this study. Integrated marketing emerged as an alternative in the 1990s when it became apparent worldwide that mass marketing alone remained insufficient. Integrated marketing made a place for itself within main business policies because it brought along customer loyalty (Yılmaz, 2006: 54). Integrated marketing is considered an approach that involves requirements such as collaboration of experts, effective use of technology and communications and coordination of materials. Integrated marketing as a marketing method with a recent history consists of using a holistic approach to marketing without being restricted with specific boundaries. It is a fact that there is growing interest in integrated marketing worldwide. Fragmentation of markets and high number of available marketing tools are among the key factors that affect such increased interest in integrated marketing. Furthermore, businesses that aspire to deliver consistent messages to their customers through integrated marketing also have a positive impact on the development of integrated marketing (Takalani, 2015: 90). Identifying all the factors that are influential in the development and use of integrated marketing developments in particular, are among the objectives of this study.
As the need for communication among people speaking different languages increases in the rapidly developing world, the need for learning foreign languages has increased and the ways of learning foreign languages have begun to be studied more easily. With this thought moving this study; aimed at facilitating teaching Turkish as a foreign language to the Germans by identifying the different and similar aspects of the Turkish and German combined sentence structures belonging to two separate language families in terms of comparative linguistic method. In this case, the Germans who learn Turkic language encounter a similar structure in their own language and it is important to facilitate learning. Study; first of all, what kind of differences and similarities do they have in terms of Turkish, compound sentences belonging to the German and Ural-Altaic language groups belonging to the "Germanic languages"? Work; The sentences and their varieties which are included in the classification of sentences according to the structure of the sentences in Turkish; a compound sentence with a variety of sentences in German (Zusammengesetzter Satz), a combined sentence with its variants (Nebenordnende), a lower alta unified sentence (Unterordnende), a question compound sentence (Interrogativsatz ) and interest (Relativsatz). This study is a descriptive research and comparative linguistics method is used. Basic grammatical books of both languages have been provided for the comparison of Turkish and German compound sentences and have been used for Peyami Safa's "Lonely" in Turkish and Siegfried Lenz's "Deutschstunde" in German for two sample sentences. The differences between the sentence structure and the compound sentence structure on the two sides were compared according to the comparative linguistic method and the differences and similarities were determined. As a result, in Turkish and German compound sentences, definitions and syntaxes have been identified in addition to many similarities. The compound sentence of Ki is similar to the compound sentences which are frequently used in German, in the sense that the Turkic language belongs to the Indo-European language family, Persian. As seen in the Turkish examples, except for the KI, the side sentences of the compound sentences are at the head and the basic sentences of the German compound sentences are at the end, while the side sentences are at the end. The German envelope element corresponding to this sentence is considered as an element of the basic cümlen and takes place after the predicate while the Temporal Nebensätze (Time Sentence Side Sentence), which is evaluated under the heading of the German sub-alta joint sentences, takes place after the side sentence basic sentence. From these determinations, some suggestions have been made in terms of facilitating the learning of Turkish.
