Translators of children’s books initially need to know children’s literature and analyze many examples. It is not possible for them to be able to recreate these works in translation without knowing the genres and the examples of good practice, along with the translation habitus of previous translators. Even though they are not deemed to be child development experts, they need to be aware of the child readers’ needs and the ways in which the literature for that specific reader is formulated. The aim of the paper presented below is to outline and provide the headings for a preliminary literary translation course module focusing especially on training young translators in translating children’s literature. The corpus entails subjects that are crucial for translators to know during the translation of children’s literature. In line with this idea, the first section of the study encompasses the profiles of ‘probable readers’ and the marketing of children’s books. A short of history of the evolution of the field and the current day situation is presented in a second section. The fourth section contains a summary of the cognitive and other developmental stages of the child reader. This is followed by a substantial section on the different types of literature present for child reader, the specific attributes of the genres. In conclusion, the benefits of including this type of a module in the training of translators of children’s literature is underlined and explained.

The fact that Bayburt, located in the Upper Çoruh Basin, is on fertile lands and is close to water resources, has caused the region to be a place for settlement since the prehistoric ages. The settlement activities that began in the region at the prehistoric ages have continued uninterruptedly until today. The contribution of the mounds in Bayburt and its surroundings to Bayburt's history cannot be denied. These mounds are important settlements also because they reveal out the settlement characteristics of the region at the Early Bronze Age and the Iron Age. There is also a very important culture in the region, which was influential throughout the Early Bronze Age. This culture, called as Karaz culture, has shown a progress that is completely different from other regions of Anatolia and has spread from the Trans-Caucasus in the east to the Urmiye Lake, from Divriği-Kangal area in the west to Malatya-Elazığ region, from Kahramanmaraş and Amik Plain in the south to Palestine and to the Black Sea Mountains in the north. Bayburt and its surroundings are located in the core lands of this culture, which is called by different names in the areas it is observed. This study will give answers to the questions about where the settlements in Bayburt and its surrounding were intensified and how they developed during the Early Bronze Age and the Iron Age, and will refer to the relations between the settlement activities and the surrounding cultures of the above-stated periods.

In this article, it is aimed to political criticise of Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s film ‘Winter Sleep’ which won Golden Palm in 67th Cannes Film Festival by being given that it would be typical case within the framework of the specified method. Moreover, it is claimed that this film is about the inner depressions of the lives of a historyless place, their alienation, evil-minded and unchangeable human nature, when doing so, that it tried to show the inner face of the fundemantal exixtance which mentioned by using the distinction between city-village and intellectual-peasant in Turkey as a background.

TFSC, announced in February 1975 in the northern part of the island following the Cyprus Peace Operation in 1974, was an important decision taken by the Turkish Cypriot Administration. In addition to the Greeks, the United States and Britain also criticized this decision. In his statements, Denktaş tried to reduce the reactions to the Turkish Cypriot’s decision by saying that this step did not intend to establish an independent state. Later, in order to find a solution to the Cyprus problem, the peace negotiations between communities in Vienna began with the UN initiative, but no results were obtained. Another important development aiming to find a working solution on the island was the Denktaş-Makarios summit in 1977. The two leaders agreed on Four Guidelines which showed that both sides accepted a federative management model in Cyprus. Inter-communal talks, which resumed after this meeting, were interrupted by the death of Makarios in August 1977. In May 1979 the Denktaş-Kyprianou summit was held with the initiatives of the UN and the 10-point agreement was reached at this meeting. Following this agreement, the peace negotiations resumed. However, after the failure of inter-communal negotiations in bringing a solution to the problem, the TFSC declared the establishment of the TRNC on 15 November 1983.

Tariqas taking a part in societies as the instutionalized form of the sufistic belief as of Hijri V. Century undertook religious disclosure and guidance mission and through the history they showed up in various Muslim societies in different ways. At this point, the word Sect meaning “way” can be understood as the way of pleasure, joy, knowledge, love and attraction that leads subjects to the God. In general, the word “way” in Arabic language means the way that must be followed to reach the God. From another point of view, sufism schools which were built to reach God in sufistic ways also bring to the mind the word Sect. As the instutionalized and organised form of sufistic beliefs and views around a Sheikh, the sect represents an organisation established to spread these beliefs and views and to educate students in these respects. In this study, we mention the common features of sects showing up in a systematic way in Islamic history of thought for the first time as of Hijri II. Century and being popular after the systematization of Sufism. Besides, we aim to spread these views of Sects defended by a Sheikh and his followers among the society and in this process we mention our detections about the content and quality of the related education and training activities, the adopted rules, the way of their applications, the finance of these organizations and the related resources from the literature review that we carried out for the study.

As one of the six founder states of European Union, Belgium is one of the locomotive states which economically proved itself with its developed financial markets, as well as playing a remarkable role in the political arena. However,” Valon-Flaman” debate related to its historical roots seems an important obstacle that interrupts the political and economic life of Belgium in certain periods. The political instability starting from 2006 to 2012 can be cited for these periods. The aim of this article is to examine the effect of political instabilities of Belgium between 2006-2012 on its financial markets. In this period which the political stability could not be established the relationship of financial markets of Belgium with political instability has been researched by using Johansen Cointegration Analysis, and a cointegration in long term between the data has been identified. Besides, it is also identified that the objective function has been fallen into a structural crash between 2005-2011. While researching the relationship of political instability with unemployment and inflation, the same methods have been used, the cointegration in the long-term between data has been identified, but a structural crash in objective function could not be found. In accordance with these identified findings, it has been identified that the political instability on Belgium scale has affected the financial markets in a negative way, but its effect on the macroeconomic structure remained limited.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TOURISM AND CULTURAL OBJECT DESIGN

Today there is an almost negative perceptual size of objects considered as souvenirs in society culture. However, these objects are quite important in terms of a country's presentation ( reputation ) and economic benefit ( income ). It is necessary to fix this negatice perception again by means of another point of view and to convey it into a new comprehension. The most important part of a country's tourism income is obtained from touristic objects known as souvenirs, in other words from handcrafts. These objects play an effective role in a country's presentation, but because of not taking enough care, presentation causes insufficient and wrong information. Especially in the situations where the economic income of local products is well enough, the products lose their value because other areas interfere with them. For example, the touristic objects produced as windmills have been made to refer to the windmills in Bodrum, but today they are being sold in almost every part of Turkey and seem as if they belonged to those regions. In this way, the perception is being corrupted and the local culture is being damaged by the product's degeneration. Because the degenerate souvenirs in touristic products have been produced by using daily themes unconsciously without education, we often meet such situations. To prevent this, we should not leave especially our handcrafts into the hands of people producing them unconsciously just for financial benefits and into the local culture, lack of supervision. It is necessary for us to do more scientific study related to the subject, and for this, universities should do elaborate academical research and study. Particularly the Fine arts students should be taught to interpret the culture they have gained in their society, to have a producer identity as well as being an artist, and to gain the interpretation ability for the culture as an object.

This study aims to exhibit the level of knowledge of a group of students - chosen by sampling method - via the drawing method, regarding the sections of the flower. The comprehension of the sections of the flower, which holds an importance place in science, plays a significant role in the understanding of some other related topics. In the study, 25 6th grade students were chosen as the main body. The students were asked to express the flower sections by drawing. In order to enable the free expression of students’ knowledge in this issue, no template was asserted and an environment was provided where every type of drawing could be performed freely. 30 minutes were given to the students for this application. The students’ lack of perception and error in basic concepts, create some negativity regarding the acquisition of basic behaviours needed for the obtaining and transfer of knowledge. In this study, perception and level of knowledge regarding the flower sections were assessed by the drawing method.
As the events that happened in the past have been said to be history, the history of science that deals with these phenomena is called history. Seljuk period is accepted as the summit of history in the Islamic world. Until the Seljuks, the Turks never founded a state with the name of a family member. For this reason, unlike the views of European and Soviet historians, the Turkish society does not offer a class structure. The Seljuk devolved Turkish society and state structure had an organization, social and social structure, which had its own special characteristics and felt like this self-denial. Unfortunately, only a small part of the works written by the Seljuks about themselves came up to us. These belong to the next period from the Great Seljuk state. Most of these sources have disappeared from the turn of the Oghuz rebellion and the Mongol invasion, especially after the burning of the libraries of Samarkand, Buhara, Ürgenç, Merv, Gazne and Baghdad. Our goal here is to draw attention to the breadth and richness of Seljuk devolution history as language, style, method and subject.
In this article, activities and policies of USA towards Armenians in the Ottoman Empire were examined in detail. Due to the relation to this subject, US policy regarding the Treaty of Lausanne is also examined. The states which aimed to partition the Ottoman Empire that started to collapse in the 1820s, exploited Greeks, Serbs, Bulgarians and Montenegrins in the Balkans and Armenians in Anatolia. The countries which played a dominant role in provoking Armenians against the Ottoman Empire were Russia, Britain, France and the USA.
The present study includes a short outline of Turkish grammar. The topics of phonology, morphology and syntax are generally presented with a view on language typological features. In the first section a typological classification of the Turkish language is given which is followed by a description of its general characteristics. Phonology and suprasegmental features (accent, intonation) are described in the following part. The next two sections are devoted to the morphology and syntax of the Turkish language. Since the considerations of these study do not extend beyond the semantics of NPs, the section on the syntax of the Turkish language is kept accordingly brief. In the outlook of the study, a special phenomenon in Turkish is highlighted, which is reflected in the different ways in which plural forms are used in morphosyntactic respects. This particularity of the Turkish language is attributed to the linguistic phenomenon "transnumerality". Subject-related research on the treatment of bare NPs and kind reference is also referred to in the outlook.

It can be stated that it is quite common to classify and evaluate Michel Foucault’s later works methodologically under the titles of archaeology and genealogy in academic literature and this distinction is maintained by Foucault’s commentators in two different ways. The commentators in the first group who argue for a methodological break thesis indicate a visible methodological difference between his earlier and later works although they observe a thematic continuity between archaeological and genealogical methods. On the other hand, the second group of commentators speak of a completed project instead of a methodological rupture/break while keeping the aforementioned distinction and in this manner, they describe archaeology and genealogy as the two interwoven phases of this completed project. In this paper, we adopt a position closer to the second approach in this line of interpretation but we also support some of the findings of the first position. And rather than the general tendency that the both line of interpretation often follow, we offer a comparative reading starting from the similarities instead of the differences between archaeology and genealogy.

When investigating the kavsnames (historical archery documents), it is see that the history of archery was started with prophet Adam. For this reason, archery has begun with the life of mankind and has revealed itself throughout history through almost everywhere that mankind has existed. Especially as a warfare, it conduced toward gaining superiority of the past states in wars. It is undoubtedly inevitable that such an important instrument has created a unique knowledge throughout history. It is seen that the archery books written especially in the Ottoman period are called Kavsnâme. Generally, the contents of these books are similar to each other. The work we investigate named as “Kavsname” is the translation and the commantary of Mahmud b. Muhammed b. El-Hasan from the book, “Bugyetü’l-Merâm Gâyetü’l-Garâm”, which was originally written in Arabic by Tayboga el-Eşrefî, famous Mamluk musketeer. It is distinguished from other kavsnames in terms of detailed description of the performances in festivals, archery, and martial arts. The aforesaid work having a single scribal copy in the Topkapı Palace is of great importance in terms of archery history.

Throughout the history of philosophy, the concept of self, which is sometimes regarded as a substantial unity and sometimes conceived as a subject oriented to knowledge through knowing himself at a certain level, is dealt with by Heidegger and Foucault by reaching similar points with different perspectives. In Heidegger, the notion of self -, is based on the axis of the question of being through the criticism of traditional metaphysics and the criticism of enlightenment metaphysics- which is supposed to have a fundamental relation with traditional metaphysics. Foucault, in his post-1980 studies, is seeking a subject aware of his own possibilities to oust the subject criticized in his pre-1980 studies on a social-political level. In both philosophers, the notion of self has no longer a strict, static and precise conceptual content. Being away from a strict and static sense of self, both philosophers provide a similar perspective on how human beings should be oriented to being and truth.

The aim of this study is to determine the differences between the Financial Reporting Standards for large and medium enterprises(BOBI FRS) published byPublic oversight which is to be applied/implemented after january 1st,2018 and the Financial Reporting Standards(TAS/TFRS).For this, based on BOBI FRS sections, the points that differ completely or partly from TAS/TFRS are presented in comparison with summary tables. For a better comprehenion sake, the similar features of the two standards were studied. The sections of BOBI FRS that are in complete accordance with TAS/TFRS are ignored, as they are outside the scope af our study. In general it can be said on these two standards that BOBI FRS is more comprehensible than TAS/TFRS due to its clear and simple language. As difference of BOBİ FRS from TAS/TFRS, prudence concept is evaluated specifically. Giving a special importance a different special section for footnotes has taken place in BOBI FRS. The maturity differences of stocks, revenues, tangible and intangible asset groups for one year or lesss durations are not seggregated in BOBI FRS while the TFRS seggregates all maturity differences. In TFRS goodwill is subjected to impairment test while it is not amortized. In BOBI FRS goodwill is amortized but not subjected to impairment test.BOBI FRS measures the financial tables based on the costs while TAS/TFRS measures the financial tables based on the true values.

It is the natural beauties, historical heritage and social-cultural life that distinguish cities from each other and make them unique. These features give cities a rich identity and a strong urban image. But our world changes from past to present depending on various reasons (technological developments, rapid population growth, etc.). This leads to the disappearance of these features which make the cities different from each other and the creation of similar cities. These negativities cause cities to lose the identity of the city, the image of people leaving their mind, and the alienation of people from their surroundings, neighborhoods and cities. Urban identity is changing in the negative (changes in appearance, changes in activities) in cities, people are weak in relation to the environment, which reduces the sense of ownership and loyalty of people's cities.

It has been a topic that I have wondered at which level the job stress relationship between age and gender is, considering that job stress is an important factor affecting athletic efficiency positively according to coaches' gender and work experiences, and also the effect of their educational status and work and occupational experiences on coping with perceived stress. Sub Problems: 1. Do coaches' job stress levels differ according to gender? 2. Do coaches' job stress levels differ according to work experience? Coaches/trainer of The Ministry of National Education in Kayseri province form the sample of the research. This research aims to reveal stress levels of different genders who work for The Ministry of National Education and have coaching certificate. 122 coaches out of 311 were reached by simple random sampling. The research was conducted face to face. Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) was used to measure coaches' stresses. The scale was developed by Cohen, Kamarck and Mermelste in 1983 and its Cronbach's Alpha was found as 0.86 in reliability studies. In this research, the scale that was translated into Turkish by Bilge, Öğce, Genç and Oran (2007) was used and its Cronbach's Alpha was found as 0.81 in reliability studies. A high total number means high levels of perceived stress. High scores from subscales, though, is a negative condition. It is determined that, in the analyses done for sub problems, statistical significance in coping with stress according to gender is 0.023 and it is 0.004 in perceived stress, which is a subscale of stress, whereas there is statistical significance between it and the subscale coping with stress at 0.002 level and 0.001 between it and stress.

Human beings benefit from the technology so much. On the other hand, it brings the negative outcomes and it makes us forget our old values, traditions expeditiously. ın the changing and developing world, today, the number of people who try to protect old values and traditions is less and because of this fact our old values and traditions disappear expeditiously. One of our old traditions that is disappearing day by day is delbek. Tradition of delbek and the women who play delbek are decreasing and this tradition which we are accustomed to see in the wedding ceremonies is forgotten. Compared to the past, delbek is nor popular tradition now and delbek was really important but now it is being forgotten tradition and the history will not mention it. When the delbek’s situation is like that, the work that aim to keep it alive is supposed to be made but the works about it are not enough. In the Shamanism tradition it was used as a religious tool by women. But now delbek is a part of wedding ceremonies or entertainments. In this study, it is mentioned that how the delbek is played and what kind of instrument it is.
