Since the beginning of the 20th century, there have been great social, cultural, economic and artistic changes in our World and Modern Art, which existed with the first half of the 20th century, formed this period in which all interdisciplinary movements and colorfulness were created and discussed. The artist revealed the perspective and style of the age and the spirit of his period in his creations. The Art Movements that constitute the beginning of our century and Modern Art are defined by these understandings when looking at this period from the perspective of interdisciplinary art. With the modern art movements that started with the rich prosperity and technical developments in Europe, the interdisciplinary aspect of art changed, especially during and after World War I. The understanding of Modern Art revealed the reflections of this period's understanding of contemporary art in art. The understanding of modernism experienced since the beginning of the 20th century has become vital in all social and cultural values, it has also shaped the artistic future of its era and beyond. Interdisciplinary artistic approaches reveal the artistic understanding and formal language of the period. Since the beginning of the 20th century, artist has stylized and interpreted nature by abstracting it with his artistic understanding, creating his own nature by explaining nature more simply. At the same time, while telling about nature unlike anything that had been put forward until then, he broke it down and redesigned it, thus giving it a different structure. This modernist and interdisciplinary perspective, experienced at the beginning of the 20th century, caused extraordinary developments in the fields of art. This modernist and interdisciplinary perspective, which occurred at the beginning of the 20th century, caused extraordinary developments in the fields of art. The modernization of social structures and the resulting differentiation of the meaning and content of interdisciplinary art and design; As a result of the transformation and internalization of all these elements, its continuity has been ensured until today. Interdisciplinary interactions have influenced artists from each other in terms of philosophy, and these approaches and understandings have enabled the general art and interdisciplinary creation language of our age to become widespread until today.

THE MEANING OF HUNING AND BOAT DEPICTIONS IN ANCIENT EGYPTIAN ROCK ART IN SPORTS

In this study, the effect of hunting and boat depictions in Ancient Egyptian rock art on the emergence of hunting and some water sports will be investigated. For this purpose, a literature review was conducted. The so-called Naqada cultural zone in the valley west of the Nile consists of a dozen sites with elite tombs containing C and D artifacts dated mainly to Naqada I and D. Most of the petroglyphs in the desert are attributed to Naqada I/early Naqada II. Hunters are depicted on petroglyphs and pottery while hunting, controlling and dominating a range of wild animals. Human figures are also shown in close association with boats in 67 of the 106 hunting scenes (65%). Petroglyphs suggest a close relationship between rock art and funeral rites in the Valley of Nile. According to the drawings, boats are associated with wild animals. The iconography seen in Eastern Desert rock art has always mainly represented the hunting activities of the elite and their control over wildlife and the status and the future of the deceased. Hunting expeditions symbolized the prestige gained by elite hunters. Images of hunting, shooting and boats in rock art may be the origin of today's water sports (sailing, canoeing, etc.).

The phenomenon of clothing has been under the influence of many situations such as sociological, political, religion, art and gender from past to present. The phenomenon of clothing also includes symbolic values. While societies create their clothing styles within the framework of these values, this has sometimes brought about social problems in history. Trousers, which have a symbolic value and are seen only as a piece of men's clothing, have become a concrete indicator of this situation. Especially Western societies' ban on women wearing trousers was ruined by women's failure to remain silent in the face of this situation. A radical change took place and women in the West were finally able to win the fight they started for wearing trousers. Trousers that seem ordinary have actually had a very important place in history. The aim of this study is to reveal information about the historical process of trousers, which have been a revolution in women's clothing, which has been much discussed in history, the political factors affecting women's use of trousers, and how women and designers adopted and used this revolutionary new fashion. The research is a survey model and descriptive method was used. In the detailed literature review about the trousers discussed within the scope of the study, magazines, newspapers, photographs, and films were used and the framework of the study was created in the light of this information. What political events in the West and Turkey affected women's trouser wearing, data on women's use of trousers in history and the designers who adopted and presented this fashion were grouped, analyzed in detail and tried to be interpreted. It is thought that the study will contribute to those who will study both Turkish clothing history and Western fashion history, in line with the data obtained from primary sources and literature reviews.

The aim of this study is to investigate some sports and games performed in Ancient Mesopotamia and to make current comments on the Mesopotamian Olympic Games. A literature review was conducted. In Mesopotamia, people mostly used bows and arrows and threw spears to hunt animals. Evidence confirms that the Assyrians and Babylonians also practiced racing and archery as sports. The backgammon we play today was one of the games of early Mesopotamia. Boxing and wrestling were the most popular sports and are reflected in the Gilgamesh epic. Mesopotamians played Bowling, Polo and Rugby, and danced to honour the Gods and Goddesses. While the dancers were performing acrobatic movements, they were also performing whirling dances. Mesopotamians played their sports at celebrations and special occasions, such as when they accomplished something good. Conclusion: It has been determined that some sports (such as wrestling, boxing and dancing) were practiced in ancient Mesopotamia at an earlier date than the period when the ancient Greek Olympics were established. Especially in Sumer and the Mesopotamian people affected by it, sports and games can be considered among the most developed sports activities among the nations of the world living at that time. As a rule, it can be considered as the place where some sports first emerged. Possibly, some sports events similar to the Olympic Games may have been organized by the people of Mesopotamia in ancient times.

Starting from 1925, the Machinery and Chemical Industry Institution has left its mark on the economic, social and cultural development of Kırıkkale. This institution also has a great share in the problems experienced by a young city that has just entered the urbanisation process on the way to becoming a city. At this point, the positive and negative effects of the Machinery and Chemical Industry Institution in the urbanisation process and the extent to which its effects continue in the city today were first reviewed in the literature, and then it was tried to be revealed with evaluations made specifically for the city. It is an undeniable fact that the institution has made significant contributions to the development of the city in economic, social and cultural aspects. This reality manifests itself especially in population growth. The unplanned settlement forms that emerged with the population increase emerged as the first negative reflection of the institution on the urban development of the city. This situation has brought to the agenda an important problem such as slumming, which a developing city will experience in the long term. Based on the points mentioned, this study is also important in terms of emphasising the problems parallel to industrialisation in newly developing cities.

The art of cinema also has a history similar to the history of documentary cinema. With the emergence of the art of cinema, the most critical task of moving images has been to convey a message or meaning. Within the framework of the thesis content, while discussing the historical process of documentary cinema, the development of this type of cinema and its serving different purposes in different cultures are discussed. Within the scope of the thesis, it explains how documentary cinema changed after the Second World War when it shook hands with television and when consumer culture was more palpable with the influence of modernism, accompanied by different ideologies. The main problem of the thesis is that the culture of consumption affects every aspect of human life. Reality shows deformed this genre with the transition of documentary cinema to television, and hybrid genres emerged to serve the culture of consumption. For documentary cinema to survive, its agreement with television has led to the emergence of hybrid genres. In this study, "Tight Transformation," broadcast on TLC, a sub-channel of the Discovery Channel, is analyzed using Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis method. Discourse has been used in scientific articles and works that emerged in social sciences in the West after 1960. This method aims to reveal the ideological messages conveyed in the program through dialogues and body language in the context of consumer culture.

This his research examines portraiture in the context of art and emotion, particularly hybrid expressions. It offers an in-depth examination of the emotional expression of art and the impact of technology on art in the historical development of portraiture. The aim of the research is to explore the emotional and aesthetic dimensions of portraiture and how hybrid expressions offer innovation and diversity in this art form. The paper emphasizes that art is not only an aesthetic object, but also a medium that reflects individuals' emotional expressions and social changes. As a research method, art history and psychological theories are utilized, portrait examples from various periods are analyzed and the changes in artists' expressions are examined. In particular, the focus is on the impact of digital technology on the art of portraiture and how this technology has expanded artists' expressive space. It is argued that hybrid expressions bridge both traditional and modern portraiture techniques and offer viewers a multidimensional emotional experience. In conclusion, this research demonstrates how portraiture reflects the complexities of human experience and how art can function as a means of interaction and communication on both individual and societal levels. The use of hybrid expressions pushes the boundaries of art, offering new perspectives to artists and viewers. This approach encourages reflection on the future of art and portraiture and reveals how the universal language of art is constantly being reshaped.

REDUPLICATIONS IN THE TRANSLATIONS OF “FALLING LEAVES” AND “DEATH AND THE DERVISH”

The purpose of this article is to analyse how the reduplications in the literary works translated from Turkish to Bosnian <em>(Falling Leaves)</em> and from Bosnian to Turkish <em>(Death and the Dervish)</em> are translated, to make comparisons among the collected data, to present the tendencies of the aforementioned languages to use reduplications and to analyse whether or not the translators have found appropriate translation for the reduplications. The data have been collected with content analysis method and they have been evaluated by using descriptive statistics in three categories: in the literary work <em>Falling Leaves</em> correctly translated, incorrectly translated and untranslated and in the literary work <em>Death and the Dervish </em>correctly translated, incorrectly translated and unnecessarily translated by function and meaning of reduplications. These are some of the conclusions of this work: Reduplications have been used more in <em>Falling Leaves</em> and its translation, even though the work has smaller number of pages, while in <em>Death and the Dervish</em> and its translation reduplications have been used less. A large percentage of correctly translated reduplications in both translations show that it is possible to find appropriate translation in both languages. The percentage of the reduplications that have not been translated from Turkish to Bosnian shows that the limited usage of reduplications in translator’s mother tongue increases the possibility of overseeing. Also, it is possible to say that a large number of reduplications that have been unnecessarily translated from Bosnian to Turkish shows that Turkish has tendency towards this structure and that the translator has added to the translation the reduplications that are not present in the original work, because of the common usage of that structure in their mother tongue.

This piece of work tries to present findings of published research about the meaning and history of the field called educational management. Hence, this is a review article. Educational management made its appearance in the United States of America in the 20th century. It is a sub-field of management as the main field is the origin of many other sub-divisions related to managerial sciences such as crisis management, line management, hospital management and conflict management. Educational management has been a topic of interest and empirical research for a considerable number of scientists in Turkey. It includes school management as the latter is narrower in scope. It is hoped that this compiled article could serve as a source finder and a starting point of literature for new researchers willing to conduct original research in the area.

School social work is one of the practice fields of the social work profession, which evaluates students within their environment in solving the problems affecting their school life. It focuses on their physical and emotional needs as well as their academic lives, and ensures that they benefit equally from the education and training process. School social work is implemented in many countries of the world and within this scope, social workers are employed in schools. School social workers, who play different roles such as mediator, counselor, case manager and advocate, carry out micro, mezzo and macro-level interventions to solve students' problems, increase the quality of education and strengthen the school climate. The practice of school social work, which deals with all kinds of individual, family and social problems affecting students, has not yet been officially implemented in Türkiye. Although projects have been carried out, academic studies have been carried out and units have been established in universities for the necessity and implementation of school social work in Türkiye, school social workers have not been employed. In this study, the roles and duties of school social workers, the history of school social work are touched upon, and various suggestions are made by examining the studies carried out to practice school social work in Türkiye.

<p style="font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">This article investigates the musical form, rhythm, and pitch set relations in György Ligeti’s Etude for Piano No.8 “Fém”. It is argued that the piece incorporates sonic clues and semantic allusions to the West African bell music. Moreover, Ligeti’s piece showcases direct parallels with the strategies associated with African musical traditions, such as superimposing different rhythmic cycles. The formal units of the composition are organized around what Arom (1991) defines as macroperiods that are obtained by the combination of multiple rhythmic cycles. The composition makes abundant use of melodic cells derived from set classes (025) and (035), which are related to pentatonic scales commonly found in African music. It is argued that Ligeti’s composition showcases the Bartókian techniques of inversional symmetry and transpositional combination in a rhythmical framework derived from African musical traditions.

As a result of the need to uniformize the law, which emerged in parallel with the increase in international trade, the Vienna Sale Convention (CISG) was prepared by the UN. While preparing the treaty, some principles were taken as basis. These principles; freedom of contract, interpretation of wills, keeping the contract alive, the importance of customs and the principle of honesty. It is important to determine the exact field of application of the Agreement, to which Turkey is a party, and to which types of sales it will be applied and whether it will be applied. The main point in terms of the scope of application of this Treaty, to which many countries are parties, is that the Treaty will only be applied to movable property. In addition, it is one of the conditions required for the implementation of the Agreement that the parties to the sales contract have their workplaces in different countries. Both the buyer and the seller have certain obligations within the scope of the agreement. Among these obligations, those that belong to the buyer are examined within the scope of this study.

JEAN GENET'S INFLUENCE ON CONTEMPORARY ART: INTERTEXTUAL APPROACHES AND REWRITING

Considered one of the most important avant-garde writers of the twentieth century, Jean Genet's literary and theatrical works frequently employ themes of textual transformation, structural interpretation, and rewriting, thus bringing him to the forefront as a remarkable artist. Genet gave depth and polyphony to his works through intertextual effects. Characters, events, and symbols in his works carry multiple layers of meaning. Genet's unique situation allows viewers and readers to experience the text from a richer perspective. The intertextual perspective in Genet's texts often expands the boundaries of art by building bridges between different disciplines and artworks. This flexible approach to Genet's texts has encouraged artists to have a more in-depth understanding of his works and to interact with different aspects of them. In this context, Genet's works are considered inspirational sources for rewriting and intertextuality in contemporary art practice. This study examines how Genet's works are a source of inspiration for contemporary artists and their works, and evaluates the reflections of the intertextuality method on contemporary art practice. The perspective of this study is to determine the effects of Jean Genet's intertextuality and rewriting technique on contemporary art practice. Based on this determination, by including examples of contemporary artists related to Genet's works, the relationship between text and instrumental expression is intended to be a resource for academic and applied art fields.

Every society has common cultural values which have occurred throughout history. These values contain the collective consciousness and the cultural codes of the society. Customs, rituals, works of literature, and cultural elements which are unique to society are cultural treasure that we can trace these common values. There are various tools at the point of cultural value transmission and keeping them alive from past to present. One of the most important tools is the tradition of minstrelsy. Thanks to minstrelsy tradition in the form of verbal and written, cultural memory has occurred by transmitting from generations to generations, which keeps the society alive. Every nation has folk poets who have the ability to express themselves in the sociocultural sense. At the same time, these poets have felt a sense of responsibility for transmitting of cultural values to future via both their words and instrument. In the study, after giving general information about minstrelsy, life, art works and poems of Bekir Akbulut who is the present representative of the tradition are analyzed in frame of the “homeland” theme.

This research aims to assess and delineate the social skills, problem behaviors, and academic competencies of children exhibiting borderline intellectual disabilities in comparison to their typically developing counterparts. Additionally, the study seeks to elucidate the interrelations among social skills, problem behaviors, and academic proficiency. The research cohort comprises 112 typically developing children and 30 children with borderline intellectual disabilities, aged 7-12, enrolled in schools under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of National Education in the Odunpazarı district of Eskişehir during the 2023-2024 academic year. Data collection in the study involved the utilization of the 'Social Skills Rating System (SSRS) Teacher Form' to discern the social skills, problem behaviors, and academic proficiencies of both groups of students. For the comparison of variables presenting two alternatives, the Mann Whitney U test was employed, while analyses involving variables with three or more sub-options were conducted using Kruskal Wallis H analyses. The findings of the research unveiled a statistically significant correlation between the social skills, problem behaviors, and academic proficiency scores of children with borderline intellectual disabilities and their typically developing peers. Examination of the averages in social skills and academic proficiency indicated higher mean scores in the typically developing group, whereas in terms of problem behavior scores, the group comprising students with borderline intellectual disabilities exhibited elevated averages.

School principals are assigned as investigators by the provincial and district national education directorates, which are the provincial organizations of the Ministry of National Education, to conduct examination or investigation of disciplinary incidents occurring in schools. The investigator is the person in charge and authorized to conduct the disciplinary review or investigation. Using the duties and powers given to him within the scope of disciplinary examination or investigation, the investigator collects information and documents about the incident subject to examination or investigation, listens to witnesses, takes written or oral statements from relevant persons and prepares an examination or investigation report. In this study, school administrators' ideas about the duty of investigation were examined. In addition, the problems faced by school administrators while performing their duties as investigators were also emphasized. In this study, where the qualitative research method was applied, the data were obtained from 4 school principals and 6 assistant principals working in various primary and secondary schools in Erzincan, using the structured interview technique. An interview form was prepared in order to determine the opinions of school administrators about the duty of investigation, and the collected data were evaluated using the content analysis method. According to the results of the research, it has been determined that school administrators are not satisfied with the compulsory assignment of the duty of being an investigator, they think that this duty should be done in return for a fee, that the legislation is insufficient in investigations and that not every complaint should be subject to investigation.

The aim of this research is to examine the social relationship processes of mothers of children with speech and language disorders. Case study design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. The data of the study were collected with a semi-structured interview form. The study group of the research consists of 8 mothers of students diagnosed with speech and language disorder in a kindergarten affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Sultanbeyli, Istanbul. Face-to-face interviews were conducted using the interview technique during the data collection process. The data collected with the interview questions prepared by the researchers were analysed by content analysis. Four main themes were included in the study: the mother's experiences in the process of the child's diagnosis, the mother's relations within the nuclear family, the mother's social environment relations, and the mother's social life changes. As a result of the research, mothers generally have difficulties in the process of diagnosis of the child. In the social relations within the nuclear family, it was stated by the mothers that there was no difference in the mother's relationship with her husband, but the roles and responsibilities of the spouses became more apparent, there was no difference in the mother's relationship with other children in the family, but the cooperation and interaction between siblings increased. In the social environment relations of the mother, it was stated that her social relations with her relatives and neighbors were generally the same and she also tended to stay away from them from time to time. They think that there is no difference in their social life changes, but that they are psychologically very worn out and that there would be less stress and sadness in their lives if their children did not have such a situation.

A NEW APPROACH TO THE POETICS OF SPACE: THE NOVEL OF KURTLAR SOFRASI IN TERMS OF HENRI LEFEBVRE'S THE SPATIAL TRIAD

In narratives, thought and imagination of a person, limited by time and space, require a certain ontological ground in which framed the plot in terms of epistemologically taken place/experienced.Because humankind who has theoretically unlimited thinking and imagination encounters the strict rules of physics when it comes to practice (when he passes from abstract to concrete). Therefore, fiction, whose boundaries are drawn and based on a certain chain of event(s), has to be based on a place by its nature. Thus, the author both attributes quality, feature and function to the space in certain respects and transforms the space from an existential perspective by making it an important basis of fiction. The qualities and functions of the transformed space are closely tied to the editing. The editing of the space according to its qualities and functions makes it suitable for interpretation from different perspective(s). In this study, these qualities and functions will be tried to be explained by basing on Henri Lefebvre's spatial triad .

Hand weavings are not only limited to their intended use but also have cultural, aesthetic, commercial and artistic features. Hand weavings, which constitute an important part of traditional Turkish arts, have a traditional production process since the day they started to be woven. In addition to being an important element in Turkish cultural history, carpets are also of great aesthetic importance. The carpet pillow weaving samples identified in Tunceli Çemişgezek Akçapınar village represent an important part of Turkish weaving culture. It is seen that the carpet cushion samples obtained carry the originality of the region and maintain the traditional style. Within the scope of the research; field research was conducted 4 times in total in 2021 and 2023. In Akçapınar village of Çemişgezek district, 30 carpet pillows and 12 rug pillows were identified. Among these samples, 8 carpet pillow samples that best reflect the local characteristics were evaluated. These samples, which reflect the culture of the people in the region, have started to disappear with the increase in industrialization. For this reason, it is important to examine and document the identified weavings in order to contribute to the continuity of the local culture.
