Ceramics has been a material that has made people's lives easier in many areas since the first day it was used. In addition, with the developing technology, it is a sought-after material in many different sectors, from healthcare to space industry, from artistic production to industrial areas. Industrial dinner ware is one of the most intensive usage areas of ceramics. Dinner ware ceramics, one of the products that help meet people's basic needs, are affected by the competitive environment that has emerged in this field in the world. Every country that has a say in the field of dinner ware is trying to survive in this competitive environment by taking advantage of the values of its geography. However, countries or companies that do not find the values of their geography sufficient are developing different methods. One of these methods is the STEAM approach. STEAM is an approach that expresses why science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics should be used together with a holistic understanding. How, where and to what extent this approach was used in dinner ware production constituted the rationale for this research. Based on this justification, the relevant literature was scanned, application examples were examined, and industrially developed and commercialized application examples were analysed. Both general survey and qualitative research designs were used. In the qualitative dimension of the research, the production processes and methods, decor and form designs of the Keramika company in Kütahya were examined; The STEAM approach in the production process of indigenous dinner ware was observed, photographed, analysed and interpreted. One of the results obtained in this research was how STEAM components positively affect each other and how they should be used to ensure that companies that produce dinner ware ceramics can improve themselves from the beginning of a product until it reaches the end consumer. Analysis of application examples of how the STEAM approach is implemented in the industrial field in terms of both concept and application is important to show how this approach can be applied in real life. As in the dinner ware examples presented in this research, analysed should be made to include the application methods in other sectors to the literature and their widespread impact should be turned into publications to increase their widespread impact.

In this study, the aim was to determine the awareness of prospective science teachers regarding traditional plant (ehtnobotanical) usage in daily life. The extraordinary plant diversity in nature has fostered cultures and traditions closely associated with the use of plants, resulting in the formation of an extensive ethnobotanical heritage. Ethnobotany is an interdisciplinary field that contains valuable information that local people acquired through trial and error, finalized over a long period of time, and has been passed down from generation to generation until today. Türkiye has hosted various civilizations from different cultures throughout centuries, and it is evident that it possesses a rich ethnobotanical knowledge reservoir. The research was conducted with the voluntary participation of 14 prospective science teachers studying in the 4th grade of science teaching at a state university in the spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. A phenomenological design was used in the research. In the data collection tool, there are 10 plant samples that are widely used in daily life (asparagus, haregrass, caper, sumac, hawthorn, apple, rose, oak, sunflower and saffron) and three different recipes for these plants. The answers given by the prospective teachers to the questions in the usage prescription were divided into categories and analyzed by determining the codes. According to the findings, the plants for which the first prescription was written the most by the prospective teachers were apple, rose and sunflower, and the plant with the least written prescription was caper. The plants whose second prescription is written the most are rose and sunflower, and the least written ones are capers and sumac. It was observed that the plants whose third prescription was written the least by all prospective teachers were capers, haregrass oak, sumac and saffron. The plant for which second and third use prescriptions were not written was asparagus. When the three prescriptions for the use of plants are compared, it is determined that the plant that is written the most is rose, and the plant that is written least is caper. As a result, it was found that prospective science teachers awareness levels regarding traditional plant use were low.

Since the 19th century, great social, cultural, economic and artistic changes have taken place in Europe. Modern art, which existed with the first half of the 20th century, created the spirit of its age with all its movement, colorfulness, perspective and style in this period when it was created and discussed. The Cubism Art Movement, which constitutes the beginning of our century and the Modern Art movements, is also defined by this movement when viewed from the perspective of sculpture art in this period. With the modern art movements that started with the rich prosperity and technical developments in Europe, the direction of sculpture art changed, especially during and after World War I. The Cubism approach to art was one of the reflections of the modern art approach of this period. The understanding of modern art experienced in this period also shaped the artistic future of its era and beyond, as it became vital in all social and cultural values. The Cubism art movement describes the artistic approach and formal language of the period. XX. At the beginning of the century, he abstracted nature with a figurative approach and geometrized the three-dimensional structure by explaining it more simply. At the same time, while explaining the figure from different angles, he fragmented nature and created unit repetition from a different perspective. In this way, nature has been simplified formally. XX. which was experienced at the beginning of the century, enabled extraordinary developments in art this modernist perspective,. With the modernization of social order and values, the meaning and content of art and design change accordingly; By transforming, changing and internalizing all these elements together, continuity is achieved. This philosophy, which simplifies form, mass and volume, was mutually influenced and created the general art and creation style language of our age.

CONSERVATISM, THE HISTORICAL TRAJECTORY OF CONSERVATISM IN TURKEY, ITS TRANSFORMATION AND REVOLUTIONARY CONSERVATISM

Conservatism emerged as a reaction to the French Revolution, which was the practice of the Enlightenment. Because the French Revolution, which rejected the tradition, was a disappointment. Conservatism sees human life as a whole from the past to the future. Conservatism is not against change in the natural process. Conservatism, as a product of modernity, is against change that will disrupt society and human nature. With these aspects, conservatism is one of the strongest ideologies today. As in everything else, conservative thought soon entered the Ottoman lands. However, conservatism took on flesh and bones in Turkey with the proclamation of the Republic. Because radical change took place at this time. But the conservatism of the early Republican period is a soft thought that celebrates the logic of the revolutions and criticizes its method. For them, a total regeneration under Western influence does not require a complete break with the past. In the multi-party era, however, a radical Westernization that rejected tradition was more openly opposed. Because there was an atmosphere of freedom to say that. In this period, conservatism gained multidimensionality in the form of nationalist, liberal and Islamic conservatisms. Conservatism in all its aspects has dominated Turkish political life as a force. Turkish conservative thought has changed the radical Westernization method left over from the early Republican period. However, Turkish conservatism is sometimes stuck between democracy and tradition. According to them, not every marginal thought and desire is democratic. Turkish conservative thought has been successful in reuniting large segments with the state, attracting women to all areas of life, and transforming the system. In this respect, Turkish conservatism deserves to be described as conservative democrat, not revolutionary. This article, which aims to reveal conservatism and its Turkey story in real terms, is a qualitative study based on literature review.

The distinctiveness of the technical and melodic differences in the piano works of Claude Achilles Debussy and Maurice Ravel, who are among the Impressionist French composers, bring along difficulties in terms of musical approach for those who will sing the works of these two composers. Despite being the composers of the same movement, Debussy's and Ravel's musical perspectives include some differences in terms of writing techniques, playing technique, contrastive approaches and similar in terms of pianism. In this study, first of all, the technical and characteristic approaches of each of the composers in piano works were mentioned, and then technical comparisons were made on different piano works selected from among the works of both composers. In the first part of the study, researches on the techniques and musicality in Claude Debussy's piano works are presented. Information on the technical and perceptual differences due to his harmonic structure with dissonances and wide chords, despite the harmony structure of his period, has been compiled. In the second part of the study, it is mentioned that Maurice Ravel inherited the traditional and distinctive calligraphy technique left by both impressionist and predecessor composers in his piano works, and in line with this information, the composer's technical approach to different works selected from piano works was examined. Finally, two well-known works by both composers were selected and suggestions were presented to those who will perform the works as a result of comparisons between them on both technical, perspective and musical perspectives.

Although migration, which we can consider as coeval with human history, can be reduced to a spatial change of location in the direction of action, migration has political, economic, sociological and cultural aspects that develop and change on the basis of the individual and society. Migration, which involves social and cultural change, is a population movement that indicates not only the transition from one geography to another, but also the transition from one society to another. It can be said that the concept of culture is a social phenomenon that shares a similar fate with the concept of migration and is identical with human history. Migrations are basically carried out with the hope of achieving better when the existing one is inadequate. With migration, the state of stability is replaced by emotions produced and nurtured by daily life, such as separation, abandonment, and escape. These emotions find a wide place in the main veins of culture. Individuals who are the subject of migration will always continue to exist as a motif of cultural patterns worldwide and nationally, with their foreign identities that came yesterday, are today, and will likely remain tomorrow. This study aims to reveal the relationship between the concepts of migration and culture. The data collected using the theoretical literature review method was interpreted within the framework of a holistic perspective. When we evaluate the relationship between migration and culture, assuming that migrating does not only mean a physical change of place, but also carries many spiritual values with migration, it has been found that cultural values have also been migrating along with migrations for centuries.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by significant social interaction and communication impairments, limited interests and activities, and repetitive and obsessive behaviors, with symptoms ranging from mild to severe. Individuals with autism struggle in social relationships and require the development of relationships based on special interests. Interventions can enhance the social interaction and communication skills of individuals with autism. In addition to medical treatment, there are special programs designed for individuals with autism, one of which is horticultural therapy, which not only improves their social interaction and communication skills but also contributes to the development of vocational skills. The aim of this study is to track the development of an autistic student through horticultural therapy to demonstrate the concrete improvement of their social interaction and communication skills. Additionally, this study aims to provide guidance for the implementation of horticultural therapy for autistic students in other special education schools in Turkey. Based on the Student General Assessment Form developed by the Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of Special Education and Guidance Services, a development tracking form has been prepared for autistic students. Accordingly, the current status of an autistic student enrolled in Meram Melike Hatun Special Education Vocational School was determined. A study plan was created and implemented to improve the deficiencies in social interaction and communication skills through horticultural therapy. To monitor the development of the autistic student’s social interaction and communication skills, the student's family and teachers were asked to fill out the development tracking form at specific intervals, and the scores provided were evaluated. The horticultural therapy applied in this study can be applied to different autistic individuals as a supportive practice not only to impart social interaction and communication skills but also to provide vocational training.

In this article; The thumb area, which is very important and one of the most difficult in cello performance, will be explained. To be more comprehensive, the emergence of the haze position, the reasons for its emergence, and in what stages the performer needs this position will be explained. Composers whose works include the thumb position will be explained through their works, along with their working techniques, and alternative working methods will be shown. These works will be examined and compared in two separate branches: works written by composers who are cellists and those written by composers who are not. In parallel with the physical development of the cello, the emergence of the thumb position and its use in works will be examined. This region, which is very important and difficult for both students and performers, has always been a nightmare for players. For this reason, such enlightening studies in this field will shed light on both performers and students. Thumb position; It is a left-hand playing technique used in cello performance and training to stabilize the hand and to facilitate playing by placing the thumb, which is a fulcrum for the other 4 fingers on the fingerboard, on the strings from behind the fingerboard to the top of the fingerboard in order to play the sounds in the following positions starting from the 4th position. The clean intonation in the cello is one of the most important elements to be considered in the performance. Impressive and qualified playing sounds on the instrument pass through accurate and clear printing. For this reason, the elements that make up the intonation should be handled carefully by the performers. The first of the basic elements to be considered is to position the left hand correctly on the touch. It is necessary to keep the fingers in a natural position on the fingerboard, provided that they are rounded and from the fingertips.

Many settlements today called urban settlements have been retroactive from their past, where the rural past prevails and they are transformed from rural settlements into urban settlements. This transformation can change according to population statistics, and can also occur with a change in the administrative identity of managers by decision-making. Certainly the biggest change in the rural population in Turkey occurred in 2012 under Metropolitan Law 6360, which was passed in 2013. With this law, the legal entities of the village settlements in 30 metropolitan municipalities in Turkey have been removed and turned into neighborhoods. This change in the administrative structures of the larger cities also affected the rural population of the counties, and the rural populations of these districts were eliminated by 2013. The rural population of Tekkeköy, one of these districts, in 1990 was 37,379, while the urban population was 11,351. Although the rural population of Tekkeköy decreased in the following years, the village population in the district was recorded as 11,897 in 2012. In Tekkeköy, where the entire rural population turned into urban population in 2013, all 31 villages lost their legal entities and the number of neighborhoods increased to 63. In most of these settlements, which have been transformed from villages to neighbourhoods, basic services such as health centres, schools and post offices are still not provided. To receive these services, people who have to go to neighborhoods such as 19 Mayıs, Hürriyet and Cumhuriyet in Tekkeköy, which are considered old city populations, cannot remove themselves from their rural identity and cannot see themselves as urban population. These new type of metropolitan neighborhood populations, which do not find the service they receive sufficient and lack the functional facilities available in urban settlements, continue their identities as settlements stuck between the rural and urban populations. Undoubtedly, this stuckness not only drives people to migrate from the neighborhoods they live in, but also causes the economic activities currently carried out in rural settlements to disappear over time.

Marufizade Mehmed Ziyaeddin is one of the forgotten figures of Turkish press history with his identity as a journalist, printer and publisher. When Mehmed Ziyaeddin graduated from the Telegraph School, he started to work as a civil servant in the Dersaadet Telegraph Communication Room. From here, he moved to the Ministry of Education and promote from clerk to Mekatib-i Aliye and Private Inspectorate, and continued his publishing activities with the Çocuklara Kıraat booklet, Mürüvvet newspaper and this newspaper's special Muruvvet supplement and Muruvvet Printing House. He was among the founders of Beşiktaş Afitab-ı Maarif School and also worked as an educator. Mehmed Ziyaeddin published the newspaper Mürüvvet between 1887 and 1891. Muruvvet newspaper was published weekly in its first year and turned into a daily newspaper in its second year. Muruvvet newspaper was suspended twice by the printing administration during its four-year publication period. In addition, Mehmed Ziyaeddin did not publish his newspaper for a while due to his illness. Among the innovations of the Muruvvet newspaper in the field of publishing was that it was sold at a very cheap price and that it published in a language that ordinary people could understand.
Could narcissism be associated with innate affective potentials in healthy people? Although the debates on this subject continue todays on academic level, psychoanalysts such as Jung, Kohut, Jacobson and Mahler had started to form their theories by answering this question positively. In this study, the distribution of narcissistic dimensions among different temperament types was examined based on Kohut's Self Psychology theory, which defined narcissism as a developmental structure and made significant contributions to its treatment. The narcissistic self-dimension scores and affective temperament scores of 662 (361 women and 301 men) healthy adult participants included in the research with the cluster sampling method were evaluated by creating t test, variance analysis, correla-tion tables and multiple linear regression models. According to the findings, defensive grandiose narcissis-tic self-scores are positively affected 35.6% by depressive temperament, 17.4% by cyclothymic tempera-ment and 12.7% by anxious temperament. Healthy grandiose narcissistic self-scores are Hyperthymic tem-perament has 38.6% positive impact and depressive temperament has 21.9% negative impact on healthy grandiose self. The results show that the grandiose dimension of the narcissistic self has a statistically signi-ficant relationship with innate affective potentials. Hyperthymic temperament provides an advantage for the self to develop at a healthy level of narcissism. In line with the findings, depressive temperament can be considered as the most common factor affecting the development of the self in unhealthy poles.

During the First World War, the Ottoman Empire had predicted that the Iraqi front would not be opened. However, this mistake of the Ottoman statesmen resulted in the loss of important places in Iraq such as Baghdad and Mosul. Based on the assumption that the local communities would support the call for Jihad announced by the caliph on the Iraqi front, the Ottoman Empire deemed it sufficient to defend this region with the help of volunteers. However, while communities such as Sheikh Hatim-el Uhut and Geraf tribes who supported the call for Jihad in the region resisted the British, it was observed that Gelhur, Gurâni and Kalhani tribes collaborated with the British. In my study, I wrote my article based on the archival documents published in the "Journal of Military History Documents". At the same time, I made literature reviews from many books, scientific theses and articles on this subject. When the documents were analyzed, it was concluded that the reason for the loss of the Iraq Front was that the Ottoman statesmen did not pay enough attention to the region. Especially after the victory of Kût'ul Amara, some of the 6th Army was transferred to the Iranian front to fight the Russians, and the Ottoman soldiers could not be effective against the recovering British. The Ottoman Empire, which followed a strategy that relied on local volunteer troops, was also inadequate in the face of the British propaganda against the state. The aim of the study is to reveal whether or not the statement in the Turkish historical literature that "all Arabs betrayed the Turks" is true. The aim of the study is to analyze the problematic correctly from a scientific point of view rather than a political aim.

Traditional dances are an important carrier for the transmission of cultural traditions, community history, livelihoods and geographical information of societies through generations. They play an important role in the "cultural development" of society by contributing to the determination and transmission of cultural identity. At this point, the way traditional dances are presented to the masses gains serious importance. In today's professional dance life, where our traditional dances are shaped and staged with other elements of performing arts, it is important for folk dance performers and instructors to determine and explain in a descriptive way the relationship between stage performance anxiety and dance self-efficacy and self-confidence, which are frequently encountered in professional dance life. The sample of the research consists of 212 female and 162 male (n=374) Turkish folk dance dancers. In the study, in order to determine the dance self-efficacy status of folk dance performers, Tokinan, B. and Bilen. S. (2010), the one-factor "Self-Efficacy Assessment Form for Body Language and Dance" was used. "Self-Confidence Assessment Test" developed by Tokinan, B. (2008) was used to determine the dance self-confidence of folk dance dancers. "Çarkçı Ballet Undergraduate Students Performance Anxiety Scale" developed by Çarkçı, J. and Mercan, Ç. S. (2020) was used to measure the stage performance anxiety of folk dance dancers. As a result, it was concluded that there was a significant relationship between dance self-confidence, self-efficacy levels and dance performance anxiety of the dancers participating in the study, dance self-confidence had a negative and significant effect on dance performance anxiety, and dance self-efficacy had a negative and significant effect on dance performance anxiety.

Mansions come first in line of the structures that are shaped according to the housing needs of people. Geographical and cultural features, climatic conditions, developments in technology constitute important conditions in mansion architecture. Architecture and architectural decorations that played a role in the development of Ottoman culture enabled the construction of works that marked the Ottoman period. Unfortunately, most 14-16th century examples of works have not survived to present day. Fatih Mansion dated bazk to second half of 15th century is one of the works that is still standing. However, although rare, examples of works from 17th century and foward still continues to exist. Despite the periodical differences in architectural terms there are no major changes in plans but differences in terms of ornaments attract attention. Turkish decorative arts have undergone a stylistic change with the ornamental effects received from Europe, and especially architectural ornaments have made their weight felt. The westernization movement ion movementin art, which started in Istanbul from from the second half of the 18th century, is followed in Anatolia in the same parallel. In this period, Show baroque and rococo features. It is accepted that Anotolian samples, whether of minority or Turkish origin, were made by local artists with a master-apprentice relationship. The woodwork seen in the ornaments in the mansions that are the subject of the research and examined, plaster and hand-drawn arrangements draw attention in terms of decorations. Wood and plaster were used in most of the mansion in the center, and hand-drawn is less common. Wood draws attention as a material on the ceilings of the houses, and in ceiling decorations, slats or applique technique is applied. Ceiling hubs were prepared separately using the carving technique and fixed to the ceiling with nails. Among the Sivas manssions, especially the Kangal Ağası mansion has a very important place. It is important in terms of having the richest ornamentation and different technical applications among the examined mansions.

Bela Bartok, who came to Turkey to give conferences and concerts in November 1936, also carried out compilation and analysis of Turkish melodies in a very limited time. It has been determined that Bartok made compilations in Adana, Mersin, Ankara, and Osmaniye regions, and mostly made compilations in Osmaniye region. The reason why the majority of the collections is from that region came from the fact that Turkmen nomads settled in the region and some of the nomads who migrated to Uzunyayla in summers and used Toprakkale as their winter quarters. This study is a qualitative study aiming to examine findings obtained from the compilations of Bela Bartok belonging to Osmaniye region by using scanning and document analysis. This study is the first to use only the collections of the Osmaniye region among the compilations of Bartok, and it is aimed to contribute to the field. As a result of the literature review, it was found out that the number of tunes compiled by Bartok in Turkey was 87. Based on the scanning, it was determined that 39 of them belong to the Osmaniye region and all of these compilations are included in the findings section. The content analysis method was used to examine the compilations in terms of modal scale, structural form, vocal range and number of measures. These works of Bartok in the Osmaniye region draw attention to the fact that these tunes are very rich culturel heritage and have an important place in the history of Turkish music. Suggestions, such as teaching these tunes to the next generations were made in the study.

READER FOCUSED WRITING PROCESS IN TRANSLATION

Translation is a complex of multi-faceted actions in which the target text is constantly exposed to rethinking and production during reading and writing. The source text constantly analyzed and transformed into the language and culture of the target text continues its formation in a different context being reproduced of the interpretations by the translator or the author and the continuous communication of the target reader with the translator. An important point emphasized in the study is that a versatile reading ability focused on the target reader is required in order for the writing process in translation to respond to the expectations and goals of the reader. The study takes a target reader-focused approach to the authorship process, which is an integral part of the translation process. When authorship is actually considered as the result of re-reading the text, the authorship process is subjected to a rethinking within the target reader-oriented reading process. A translation process focused on the target reader inevitably leads the translator to a distinctive interpretation. In the act of writing, the translator not only searches for the meaning of the source text, but also constantly produces it in a process of interpretation in which past experiences will influence her/his current intellectual actions. A dialectical feature that the author aims for and that shuttles between the reader and the source text writer is highlighted. In the study where the hermeneutic approach was adopted, skopos and reception theory were included in the writing process. The author (The rewriter) can transform the traditional meaning of a source text by producing meanings according to the expectations of the target reader in the process of writing. Considering the active and productive role of the author in the text production process, each re-reading of the target text by the reader provides enlightening information in translation studies in terms of determining the direction of the translation process.

There are numerous studies in cinema have focused on the representation of both women and men, in a space where gender relations are reproduced. These studies primarily aim to explain the unequal position of women when compared to men. Within a patriarchal structure, women are often relegated to secondary roles, and their roles are determined according to patriarchal codes. The film "Şendul Şaban" (directed by Kartal Tibet, 1985) serves as an example in our society of how the roles of femininity and masculinity are shaped and defined beyond patriarchal codes. The film challenges traditional gender roles by reversing the roles of femininity and masculinity, encouraging reflection on gender-based division of labor and societal expectations placed on women. The research is designed qualitatively, with the theoretical framework primarily focusing on gender and division of labor. Women's representations in Turkish cinema during the 1980s were examined in line with the purpose of this study. By analyzing the roles of women and men in the film "Şendul Şaban," the representation of femininity and masculinity was examined in the context of gender-based division of labor. The findings suggest that the narrative in the film strengthen and reproduces patriarchal domination.

Regardless of the literary genre in which a writer produces their work, they are influenced by the material and spiritual structure of the environment they inhabit. Simultaneously, the artist also influences their surroundings. The influence of society on the work created by a writer should not be underestimated. Literature, one of the indispensable branches of art, like other arts, has a multifaceted and complex structure. Therefore, when we seek comprehensive knowledge about any literary work, we must always consider its societal aspects. In this study, we will examine the place of Tanzimat era writers who produced works in Turkish literature between 1860 and 1895, taking the chapter titled 'The Writer Within Society' from Robert Escarpit's book 'Sociology of Literature' as an example.

Determining whether a student has a special learning disability (SLD) requires an educational diagnosis and evaluation process. Because of the implicit nature of learning disabilities, identifying or diagnosing students with learning disabilities has long been a difficult issue. The diagnostic procedure for SLD usually involves interpreting some standardized test or checklist scores and comparing them to norms derived from the statistical method. It is not possible to make a decision with a single discipline in the identification process. Instead, an interdisciplinary team of experts should be involved. Inconsistency Model and Intervention Response Model are important criteria in making the diagnosis of learning disability. These models are a preventive study of special education and provide early screening and early intervention for children with academic difficulties. The relevant literature presented in this study is important in that it fully demonstrates the process of diagnosing students with SLD.

Handicrafts are a branch of art that allows us to understand the elements of life and belief, as well as the social and economic structure of human beings. Embroidery, which is one of the handicraft products, can be defined as patterning made on surfaces such as weaving, fabric and leather, using needles in different techniques and a wide variety of threads and materials. It is known from written sources that the art of fabric embroidery, although it has not been determined exactly when and where it first appeared, dates back to ancient times among the Turks and Greeks. Due to the delicate structures of the fabric, thread and other materials used in embroidery, very old examples have not survived to the present day, but many products from the 16th century in Turkish embroidery and the 17th century and later in Greek embroidery are located in various museums and collections around the world. The most distinctive feature of Greek embroidery is the variety of colors used with floral and figurative motifs. There are many islands in the geography of Greece and almost all of them have their own processing characteristics. The most distinctive feature of Turkish embroidery is the use of stylized floral motifs such as tulips, carnations and roses, and the principle of infinity that is dominantly applied in compositions. Turkish embroidery is divided into two groups as palace embroidery and public embroidery, and thanks to the tradition of storing the clothes of deceased sultans in bundles, detailed information can be obtained about Turkish embroidery since the 16th century. Since there is no such official tradition in embroidery outside the palace, old examples of embroidered textiles that were passed from mother to daughter and were used extensively have not survived to the present day.

This research focuses on the causality of the circle as a basic geometric form in poster design. In terms of historical development process, there are many social, cultural or commercial poster designs that contain one or more circle forms. The analysis of the posters based on the literature review has shown that the circle as a graphic element can be classified in two different ways as “content-oriented circle” and “form-oriented circle”. “Content-oriented circle” means that the meaning attributed to the circle primarily emphasizes the content of the poster. “Form-oriented circle”, on the other hand, is the evaluation of the circle alone or as a part of any graphic element in the structuring process on any poster surface. It is thought that the approach determined by the research may be of value in terms of literary and visual research on poster design. As a graphic element, the circle has the potential to serve an unlimited number of creative ideas in relation to many concepts in terms of content and visual message determined by design. What is important here is what kind of meaning and visual message the circle is associated with in the designer's perception. While the circle in poster design can sometimes connect with content, meaning and visual message on its own; sometimes the circle's relationship with all kinds of organic or inorganic forms such as typography, illustration, photography, color or object on the poster surface can be a method of creating layers of meaning in design. However, the meaning attributed to the formal structure with the circle on the poster surface should serve the visual message targeted in terms of visual communication well.
