It is always likely that the financial reports prepared by businesses that have significant roles in the financial markets may be manipulated. Via the flexibility provided by the accrual-based accounting principle, businesses are able to manipulate financial information in their reports by showing their financial status and performance differently. This study, using the Beneish TR Model, aims to determine whether 19 businesses in the stone and soil-based industry whose stocks are traded on Borsa İstanbul (BİST) committed manipulation of financial information in their financial reports in the periods of 2017, 2018 and 2019. In this study, it was also evaluated whether there was a relationship between these businesses according to the key audit matters specified in the independent audit reports published in these periods. With the 19 businesses that constitute the universe of the study, the data obtained from their financial reports were used to calculate the Mi values which show probability of manipulation according to the Beneish TR model and thus Zi values were calculated by determining the standard normal distribution. It can be concluded from the Zi values found that there are serious findings such as: 12 out of 17 businesses evaluated in 2017, 10 out of 18 businesses evaluated in 2018 and 12 out of 18 businesses evaluated in 2019 period resorted to accounting manipulation. When the key audit matters stated in the independent audit reports of these businesses were examined, it was also observed that the key audit matter concerning the “accounting of the revenue” was the most common one in all three periods.

Currently, information is one of the most important criteria for businesses at the point of competition. It is human who produces and uses information. For this reason, it is possible to indicate that human resource management is the source of organizations taking a human-centered approach. In a globalized world, organizations use human resources efficiently and effectively to outperform their competitors, allowing them to take an advantage of their competitors. Many businesses use electronic human resources systems to store information about human resources and evaluate this information when necessary. In this way, the costs to this department are reduced and time is saved, and the access to the requested information is easier. This information is analyzed and reported and provides data opportunities for both business managers and human resources experts to focus on strategic issues. At present, when information becomes a value in itself, it signals a change. This new process created by Information Technologies leaves a new type of business to replace existing businesses. The new type of business that emerged during this period when information was dominant is called digital business. Digital human resources management is simply the execution of human resources applications in digital environments. Another expression is to make all data related to human resources processes systematic, secure and easily accessible in digital environment. In this sense, the study also mentioned the process of digitalization of human resources.

It is clearly stated in the Qur'an that the ship of the Prophet Noah descended on Mount Judi. However, the Qur'an did not give information about which or where the Judi mountain is located. The subject of where the Judi mountain is has attracted the attention of researchers for a long time. Recent research on the flood of Noah restarts the discussion of where Noah's Ship landed. Some claimed to have landed on the Ararat mountains based on the Torah. The source of Islamic information after the Qur'an is the hadith and sunnah of the Prophet. Hadith books in which hadiths are written are considered more reliable than other Islamic works. The purpose of this paper is to identify information about the location of the mountain of Judi in all hadith literature, especially the main text and commentary books. The result obtained will also be compared with the information in the Torah.

Cinema, the most mimetic of the recording arts in the art spectrum, has both deeply influenced and nurtured other art types since its existence. Cinema, which is an interdisciplinary field, also has strong ties with social sciences and humanities. Especially, this study focused on films that are the source of the reproduction of social movements in the context of the relationship between history and cinema, and subjected the film Braveheart, which is one of the most typical examples of classical social movements, to an iconological analysis. This film, which was analyzed and analyzed with Erwin Panofsky's iconographic and iconological criticism method, was first placed in a new narrative track consisting of 4 parts. Afterwards, the scenes reflecting this narrative theme were examined in terms of natural meaning, compromised meaning and internal meaning-content, and it was tried to determine how the traces of the social movement in the literature are reproduced in cinema. In addition, while examining these areas of meaning, dialogues are also included in the film universe. The iconological analysis method used in the study reveals more clearly how a social movement is reproduced within the cinematic narrative due to its historical ties. The study also revealed that William Wallace reflects all the typical and tragic elements of classical social movements in the literature in terms of history.

Holy Roman Emperor VI. Charles (1685-1740) did not have a male successor. Therefore VI. Charles issued the Pragmatic Sanction in order to transfer his right of succession to his daughter Maria Theresa and imposed it on the major states of Europe. But the Bavarian Elector Charles Albert objected, pretending the throne and claimed the Maria Theresa could not pretend the throne due to usual succession practices. While France, Spain, Prussia and other members of the Wittelsbach Dynasty supported the Bavarian claim; England, Netherlands and Saxony supported Maria Theresa. Thus, the front lines of the two sides were formed and the Wars of Austrian Succession (1740-1748) began. France tried to persuade the Ottoman Empire to take part in the ally bloc, but these efforts were inconclusive. On the other hand, for the first time in the history of the Ottoman Empire, the empire wanted to contribute to the solution of the crisis by attempting to mediate. However, as this diplomatic initiative did not give what was desired and the wars of succession spread to te Mediterranean, the Sublime Port send a diplomatic 'note' to envoys in the Mainz Elector, which served as the imperial secretariat, to prevent wars from taking place in Ottoman Territorail waters.

In the Western Balkans region, in the last decade of the twentieth century, especially in the former Yugoslav Federation, the peoples had a bloody transition to freedom and independence. Although this transition was bloody for the peoples of the former Yugoslav Federation, it caused the systems to change from communist to democratic. The people of Kosovo are part of the former Yugoslavia's transition to freedom and independence. Kosovo's foreign policy has turned to the western world to solve this problem. In 1999, the end of the Kosovo war with the help of the Western world also paved the way for Kosovo to transform the system from communist to democratic. The post-war period in Kosovo was characterized by various and difficult processes such as reconstruction of the state due to the war, weak economic situation, democratic transition, formation of new parties, establishment of institutions, elections, declaration of independence and membership in various international organizations. As a new state on the European continent, Kosovo is in the process of development of democracy. The Constitution of Kosovo and its institutions are established according to democratic principles. In this article, the aim of the study is the development of democracy in Kosovo, and the main elements of measurement such as free elections, the role of civil society and the media, and women's rights are detailed as the fundamental basis for measuring this democracy. These measurement elements are the basis of any democratic system to perceive the development and shortcomings of a state representing the democratic system. However, as a new state in the international arena, Kosovo takes into account these basic elements of democracy in its strategy. The national strategy of the state of Kosovo is the development of democracy in the country and rapprochement with the Western world. In particular, it will be evaluated within the scope of European Union membership.

Education is facing criticism because of causing some problems even though it has an effect on developing communities. The purpose of this study is to reveal negatives brought up about education despite its contribution to social development and to evaluate the conflict with a critical point of view. The study is a qualitative research and was carried out with document reviewing method. These national and universal documents have been examined within the framework of the themes; “inequality”, “social classification” and “raising a single type of individual” determined by the descriptive analysis approach. As the conclusion of the research, it has been found out that the economic and social inequalities in the society are reflected in educational services while it has been concluded that education causes new inequalities with the differentiation it creates and deepens by maintaining the inequality bringing along social classifications. It has been determined that while social classification causes inequality in education, at the same time, inequalities in education cause classification and this situation creates a vicious circle by feeding each other. In addition, as another result of the research, it has been discovered that the education system causes the raise of single type of individual who is compatible, respectful, hardworking and accepts whit is desired without question for social development. The analytical approach in response inequality, social classification, training monotype persons who are forced with doing terminal behaviors may be the educational policies and plannings that involve equitable, democratic, and improving to persons holistically. Education system should be discussed by evaluating in natural rights and far from economical externality; free, democratic, and qualified public education should be popularized and applied educational policies that remove of non equaivalent competition generated by capitalist system.

Existence and alienation are key words in the modern crisis. The troubles of the period in which we live are experienced in cognitive and emotional dimensions rather than physical. The main reason for this is that the individual finds more opportunities to question himself in his journey and as a result of these inquiries, he starts to contain many contradictions in his inner world. These contradictions occur together with feelings of alienation and loneliness that emerge as a result of the consciousness of existence. In this study, it was aimed to analyze Antonioni's movie Adventure, which contains clear examples of these themes, by forming a theoretical framework on these themes, and to reveal once again the concepts of existence and alienation.

LAS MENİNAS: A CRITICAL READING OVER REALISTICAL REPRESENTATION

This study is basically an analysis of illustrious Las Meninas by Diego Velazquez in order to reveal its hidden secrets which is away from classical realistic representation. This magnificent piece has so long been mistakenly considered within realistic approach therefore in order to reveal its unorthodox realistic appearance and its hidden paradoxical aspects, this study is focused on the article “Las Meninas and the Paradoxes of Pictorial Representation” by John R. Searle and the first chapter of the book Order and Things by Michel Foucault. Within an analysis of Foucault’s exceptional language which demands very philosophical semantical view, it’s intended to analyze his passages on Meninas to understand why we are still attracted by the painting.
