The invasion of Çukurova region following World War II was favorable to the French, but they faced an extremely harsh resistance after the Turks after they seized the South-East lands of Turkey with the release of the Çukurova region that encompassed the districts of Kilis, Gaziantep, Urfa, Marash, Adana, Mersin, Kozan and Osmaniye. This resistance took a heavy toll on the French, upon which they had to give up their hopes on Cilicia and abort mission.
When General Gouraud came to attend a memorial ceremony in Canakkale, the speeches he gave made it apparent that he still felt sincere sympathy towards the Turks, against whom he fought to the last drop of blood both in Canakkale battles and during war of independence, where he even had to lose a part of his body. Nevertheless, he never showed hatred towards the Turks, but he became a "professional enemy" and was able to respect their heroism.
A research model that aims to collect information about the features of the universe and describe people, situations or events precisely and correctly was used and archival materials and copyrighted works were reviewed.

Multiple Criteria Decision Making Methods are used to find optimal solutions to decision problems. These methods allow decision makers to classify the alternatives and sorting them according to the criteria and determine the most suitable alternative. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is the most important method that enables problems to be modeled in a hierarchical structure. So much so that this method ensures that problems are solved by establishing a hierarchy of purpose, criteria, sub-criteria and alternatives. The logic of the AHP Method is to determine the alternatives to choose from in order to realize the purpose set out and to evaluate the criteria whose weights are determined as a benchmark. However, AHP includes both objective and subjective opinions in the decision process. The difference of AHP Method from other methods is that it decomposes the problem and organizes these components hierarchically. Unlike other methods, AHP includes qualitative factors as well as quantitative factors in to the process.
Today, AHP Method is frequently applied especially in the areas of planning, resource allocation, cost/benefit analysis and optimization. It is used in many areas, from performance assesment in the banking sector to selecting the most suitable supplier.
In this study, the structure of the Analytical Hierarchy Process Method developed by Professor Thomas L. SAATY have been examined and its advantages compared to other methods have been explained, information about Expert Choice Software Program has been given.

Located in Taht-ı Süleyman Street in the center of the district, the tomb consists of two floors. Its square shaped base edges were bevelled and a twelve-cornered structure was formed. The structure was completed with a cylindrical cone. Built of smooth cut stone material, stone ornamentations on the exterior walls of the tomb are rather remarkable. Wide kerb is geometric braided on the outer part and it contains rosette stone forms consisting of geometric and rumi patterns in the inner part.
İn this article, compositions consisting of geometric and rumi patterns as the form of rosette stone used in the building, are determined, reformed and appliwd to tile surfaces. Designs are colored with turquise blue, cobalt blue, black and eggplant purple which are seen on Seljuk tiles and oven dried using theglaze technique.
According to the Effective Markets Hypothesis, investors are rational, have full knowledge and are trying to maximize their benefits. According to the hypothesis, prices fully reflect the news, information and expectations in the market. Market participants determine a price by examining all the data, so market prices include current information and expectations. However, contrary to market efficiency assumptions, market prices cannot be determined by rational investors and psychological thoughts play an important role. Investors make mistakes from time to time, and some market participants cannot act rationally. People can overreact to unexpected news or the results of events. The reason for overreaction is suggested by the market not to rationally evaluate the reflected information, but more than it should be. In particular, they are overreacting very good or very bad news, while stock prices are being evaluated by investors in the context of new information. According to the results obtained in this study, international rating agencies have a short-term effect on BIST banking sector stock price and transaction volume indicators.

One of the most important topics disscussed during the Early Modern Period in which the modern state structure started to emerge is “what the concept of cruelty is”, “how its nature appears” and “whether it is adopted by an ideal statesman”. Since the concept of cruelty, which was believed to have a divine, abstract and spiritual characteristic almost througout the entire Medieval Age, was considered in terms of the divine plan of God, it was not studied too much. However this consideration changed dramatically by Tommaso d’Aquino and then it was partially tried to be understood. It was seen as a concept which should be avoided as it did not cause anything but blood, violence and brutality. Later on, the cruelty caused many disputes in terms of its meaning and context. Even though it was seen as a awful concept by many thinkers, those who witnessed the Italian wars experienced to what extent the oppression has beneficial and functional characteristics for the sake of the rulers and states. Therefore, while the thinkers like Niccolo Machiavelli, Francesco Guicciardini and Paolo Rosello attributed importance to this concept, for many philosophers who had a traditional point of view, oppression and cruelty was nothing more than a despicable clothing that does not suit an ideal ruler. In this study herein, the discussion mentioned above will be made and the transformation process which the concept of oppression has been through will be addressed.

Individuals continue their existence by adapting to several norms and orders determined by society. An individual who goes beyond the moral rules which are one of the predetermined norms is marginalized or cast away by society. Moral norms which are an important part of social and individual life include criteria that provide interpersonal order and determine positive and negative behaviors. Thus, it is of importance to comply with the moral rules in order to sustain the function of social structure and provide the interpersonal order.
Changes and corruption occur in social structure as in many other fields with modernization and this change causes staggering effects in families and thus, in society. Therefore, intellectuals of the Tanzimat Reform era base this mission that would prevent negative behaviors starting from the family and ultimately affecting the society on women. Hence, women who are regarded as the organizers of social order, are perceived significant since they have moral competence and raise the new generation. Artists of the Tanzimat Reform era believe that complying with the moral principles by the women would affect the social order as much as their contribution to the family. In drama, the artists demonstrate how important these features are and what sort of problems would occur in the absence of these features by including female characters possessing or not possessing moral qualifications.

The study discusses the reflections of the global powers' dominance gained through globalization on economy, politics and culture. Globalization refers to a process in which the constraints brought by time and space are reduced, reaching anywhere is possible, and where different places interact and interact with each other. The opportunities brought by globalization cause societies to try to keep up with globalization.
Economic developments in the world point to the formation of a global economic system and the effectiveness of global powers. Economic developments also make the impact of globalization on politics inevitable. While the increase of transnational companies causes the formation of an international law, the law of the organizations formed in this way is positioned so that the national states are above the law. The impact of globalization in the cultural field as well as the economic and political sphere is inevitable. It is understood that there has been a cultural imperialism with globalization and it caused the formation of a global culture.
The study considers the concept of globalization as a hegemonic force. While examining the economic, cultural and political dimensions of globalization, the changes in this area are examined in relation to hegemony.

This study aims to analyze how the water issue has played a role in the course of Turkey-Syria relations over the past 60 years. The main assumption of the study is that the water issue, which emerged as a subject of technical disagreement in the 1960s, became a political dispute in parallel with the Syrian government's use of the PKK as political leverage against Turkey in the 1980s. The water issue has been an issue shaped throughout the 1960s and 1970s around how to exploit the waters of the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. Since the 1980s, it is possible to say that the water issue has started to gain a political character due to the PKK factor. The political, economic and logistical support provided by the Syrian government to PKK activities led to the water issue being on the agenda as a political dispute throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Although the Syrian government's support for PKK activities officially ended with the Adana agreement signed on October 20, 1998, the water issue remained on the agenda as a political subject. In the 2000s, the water issue began to be addressed not as a conflict issue but as an issue that would contribute to building cooperation between the two countries. However, the Syrian Civil War that began in 2011 led to a period of uncertainty in which planned projects were on the shelf.

The Fatah movement played a pioneering role in paving the path of military resistance against Israel and its development when it was launched in the 1960s. The movement also managed to pave the way for a peaceful settlement with Israel that began since the 1970s when PLO's ten-point program was announced in 1974, which included articles stipulating acceptance of a Palestinian state. It was followed by a state of dispute within Fatah, which was reflected in its ideology and political practice later. In this framework comes this study, which is divided into two main sections, the first deals with armed resistance and peaceful settlement in the political thought of Fatah, by relying on the primary sources and Fatah leaders' statements and the official documents issued by its leadership, while the second section deals with the position of armed resistance and peaceful settlement in the political practice of the Fatah movement, within a timeline extends from Fatah's inception in 1965 until 2017, when the movement's seventh conference ended with a turning point in Fatah's position on military and peaceful solutions.

THE ACCESSION PROCESS OF THE GREEK CYPRIOT ADMINISTRATION OF SOUTHERN CYPRUS TO THE EUROPEAN UNION AND ITS EFFECT ON TURKEY'S ACCESSION TO THE EUROPEAN UNION.

The Cyprus problem is a problem that concerns not only the two states that live on it, but also the entire eastern Mediterranean basin. To the present day from the 1960s to the present day through various processes, the United Nations Secretary General spent a lot of working to be resolved, South Cyprus joining the European Union by the European Union this metaphor instead of a problem.
On the island, where the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was divided into separate states by the 1974 Peace Campaign, Turkey signed a customs union agreement with the European Union while the Greek Cypriot side applied for membership in the European Union. As a result of Greece's full support for the Greek part in the 10 + 2 enlargement, the European Union and the Greek part of Southern Cyprus began negotiations, resulting in European Union membership in 2004. Although the plan for the unification of the state on the island, known as the Annan Plan by the public, was accepted by the Turkish side, it was rejected by the Greek side.
It is clear that the accession of Southern Cyprus to the European Union will have difficult consequences for Turkey. There are two states against Turkey that no longer want to join the Union. Turkey will have to convince both countries to join the Union. The European Union is also pushing Turkey to solve the problem on the island within the framework envisaged by the United Nations.
If Turkey wants to join the European Union, it has to give priority to the problem imposed on it as much as to the structural changes that the Union has asked for. To the extent that the North goes to further integration with the Turkish Republic of Cyprus, it will move away from the European Union.
